Snow pugs!
Did you love it or hate it?
Just enough for me, a couple of days of pretty scenery and worrying about slippy roads, now all washed away.
I did appreciate the warmth of the log burner but glad it’s warmed up a bit now.

Have you made any new year resolutions? Are they still going?

It’s not for me any more but January is often a reflective time. This is why we have asked Jules to come along to our next in person talk on 13th January 7-9pm at the Darwin community centre, Frankwell.

There will be no new year, new me or unsustainable gym plans, just Jules talking through how to focus on exercise/movement that you enjoy and will work in your schedule. She will give us advice on exercises specific to midlife too.

As usual, there will be lots of opportunities to join in discussions and ask questions, chat to other midlife women and enjoy a cuppa.

As always there will be no judgment and it will be a safe space for all.

Free for members of Shropshire Menopause Hub, guests £15 via the link.
Any questions, please ask. Looking forward to seeing there. X

Shropshire Menopause Hub welcomes the amazing Jules, an inclusive women’s PT, who runs Aluna Wellbeing, to come along and talk to us about exercise and movement in midlife. There is so much advice about exercise out there, regularly conflicting and often confusing but Jules will explain how we can tailor our movement in midlife to help us get the best out of the time we invest in exercise.
Come and join us for an evening of clarity, the opportunity to ask questions and join in the discussion or sit and listen if you prefer. You will also benefit from the connection with other midlife women and a cuppa too! All welcome and never any judgment.

Sharing this video from Jules again, ahead of our next in person event on Tuesday 13th January 7-9pm at the Darwin Community Centre, Frankwell. Jules explains what she will be covering next week.

So, who is it for and why should you come along???

Any midlife woman will benefit from hearing what Jules has to say, regardless of your physical ability, whether you run, have a gym membership or don’t move at all!

Here in the hub we provide you with talks by experts in their field, to give you evidence based information to make changes in our lives to improve our health and well being. Exercise and movement is something we all know is important in our lives but often we lack the motivation or experience confusion about the best way to go about it. Here is where Jules can help us as she is committed to helping women help themselves and will encourage us to plan in exercise and movement that is realistic in our lives and we enjoy, making it much more likely to become a habit.

So, this January, instead of sitting back saying you need to make changes but not doing so or planning in unsustainable punishing exercise, come and join us to make the changes your body will thank you for.

Make that commitment to yourself and book your ticket today, using the link in the comments.
We look forward to seeing you there. X

I didn’t stop exercising in midlife.
I stopped using it against myself.

I stopped chasing workouts that left me exhausted, starving, and feeling like I’d failed if I didn’t “go hard”.
I stopped pretending cardio was mandatory.
I stopped ignoring my body in the name of discipline.

And I started moving in ways that gave me strength, energy, confidence — and honestly, a bit more joy.

Midlife exercise isn’t about doing less.
It’s about doing what actually works now.

If movement feels like another stick you beat yourself with…
If you’ve fallen out with the gym…
Or if you want to feel strong without burning yourself out —

This is exactly what we’re talking about next month 👇
