Who was Frank to you?

A question, often, asked...
Here is our family-tree, showing the four generations.

We are proud to say we have served and supported our local community for over 85 years and would like to thank the families who have entrusted us to look after their loved ones, throughout this time.

Why do we walk in front of the hearse?

A question, commonly, asked…
We have maintained this tradition for decades; our funeral directors have always walked in front of the hearse, whether it is when we leave our premises, a special place to the individual or proceeding to their place of service, this gesture is about the respect of accompanying them on their final journey.
The purpose is not to slow you down or hold up anyone’s day but to give time to reflect, contemplate and mark the occasion.
All of our funeral directors, at Frank Painter & Sons, take huge pride in each procession and this will continue for years to come.

Recently, we conducted a Service at Holy Trinity Church, Penn.

Following a conversation with the family, the Gentleman's wishes were to be laid to rest in Buckinghamshire, this was a request we were honoured to carry out.

Over the years, we have been fortunate to receive so many lovely thank you cards, gifts and reviews from the many families that we have had the privilege to look after.

This does not only mean so much to us all here, at Frank Painter & Sons, but it also brings great comfort and confidence to families when choosing a funeral director to look after their loved one.

Below are a couple of lovely reviews that have been, recently, received and you can read many more by visiting https://g.page/r/CRgn0xyYFYoiEBM/review

Our History

Founder of the business, Frank Painter began serving the local community as a Funeral Director in the 1930’s, followed in later years by his son Alan and more recently by Frank’s grandsons Chris and Mike and great grandsons Alan & Ben.

It has always been of paramount importance to the firm to give every help, advise and assistance to bereaved families. Thus hopefully in some small way easing the trauma, uncertainty and distress caused by bereavement.

The greatest care, respect and dignity is at all time afforded to your loved one. Families who wish to, may visit their loved ones in private, purpose built, dedicated Chapels of Rest. The funeral service offered by ourselves is individually tailored to the requirements of the family concerned and is at all times under the direction and personal supervision of Mr Chris Painter and Mr Mike Painter, whose dedication and commitment is a mirror image of their father and grandfather before them.
