❄️ Amber Weather Warning Snow & Ice ❄️

During the recent amber warning for snow and ice, our staff demonstrated exceptional dedication and professionalism. Despite difficult travel conditions, disruption, and personal challenges, teams continued to attend visits and ensure people received the care and support they depend on.

These efforts were not taken lightly safety was carefully considered, risks were managed, and decisions were made with compassion and responsibility at the heart of everything. The willingness to adapt, support one another, and go the extra mile truly reflects the values of our service.

This was commitment above and beyond, and the incredible efforts shown during these challenging conditions should be recognised and celebrated.

With the weather conditions, we hope everyone is staying safe and only travelling when safe and able to do so.

Just a few quick tips to stay safe and warm during the weather❄️🌨️

*multiple thin layers will keep you warmer than one thick layer

*try to maintain indoor temperatures to 18 degrees, try and one room where the heating can be left on, turn down but not off as more expensive.

*if you do have to travel, have a blanket, torch, battery pack, snacks and drinks incase you do become stuck.

Check in on elderly neighbours and family, if it is safe to do so.

We're currently issuing a letter to a sample of people who use adult social care services to find out their views as part of a national survey. The survey wants to hear from people who receive care and support services either in their own homes or in residential care and asks questions about quality of life and the impact of services on health and wellbeing.
