Last week we had the pleasure of supporting a student on his work placement with us.

He was particularly interested in learning about the business side of care how everything runs behind the scenes, how we manage teams, coordinate care, and ensure high standards every day.

It was fantastic to see his curiosity and the thoughtful questions he asked. We’ve since received some really positive feedback, which is always great to hear.

Opening our doors to students and giving them a real insight into a “day in the life” of a care business is something we’re passionate about. It not only helps them understand the sector better, but often sparks inspiration and new ideas about future career paths.

Today I had the pleasure of supporting a local primary school to talk about my role in social care as part of their careers session.

The children had the opportunity to ask a panel of employers questions about what we do, why we chose our careers, and what a typical day looks like. It was inspiring to see their curiosity and confidence in asking such thoughtful questions.

For me, this was a great opportunity to share what a career in social care really means supporting people, advocating for those who need a voice, and making a positive difference in our communities. It’s always rewarding to highlight the values at the heart of our profession: compassion, resilience, patience, and teamwork.

Engaging with young people like this is so important. You never know whose future career choice you might influence.

A big thank you to Sharon Ruff and the school for the invitation I’m proud to represent social care and support the next generation in thinking about their futures.

Wellness Sessions for Our Amazing Carers ✨

We would like to say a huge thank you to the wonderful Lauren who is our local Tropic Ambassador, who visited us to deliver much-needed wellness sessions for our carers.

She offered 15-minute facials and hand/arm massages, giving our team a chance to pause, relax, and enjoy some well-deserved self-care during their busy day.

The sessions were thoughtfully delivered, calming, and incredibly appreciated. Our carers work tirelessly every day, often putting others first, so having this time dedicated solely to their wellbeing made a real difference. Even a short 15 minutes of relaxation helped lift spirits, ease tension, and remind our carers just how valued they are.

The care, professionalism, and warmth she brought into the space created a truly positive experience, and the feedback from our carers has been overwhelmingly positive. It was a lovely reminder of how important wellbeing initiatives are, especially for those who give so much of themselves to others.

Thank you once again for your kindness, time, and dedication to supporting the wellbeing of our carers it truly meant so much 💆‍♀️

Today we say goodbye to someone who has been a valued part of our service for many years.

We are deeply saddened by their passing and extend our heartfelt condolences to their family and loved ones.

It has been a privilege to support them, and they will be remembered with great fondness, respect, and care by our team.
Our thoughts are with all those who knew and loved them at this difficult time 🥀
