The Bowen Technique is a gentle, subtle and relaxing hands on treatment. The practitioner uses thumbs or fingers to apply soft tissue manipulation at precise points on fascia, muscles and ligaments throughout the entire body. Significant change can be experienced from just one session, however to achieve a lasting outcome with long term problems further treatments are advised. I work from my quiet private treatment room in Chelmarsh village. I am happy to provide a free consultation to see if this will suit you. The Bowen Technique aims to treat the whole person not to treat just the symptoms. Common presentations include, back, and neck pain, knee problems, sports injuries, RSI, frozen shoulder, tennis elbow and respiratory problems, to name just a few. A treatment involves a first longer appointment to ask about medical history, then the treatment can be performed through light clothing (or directly on skin) four or five treatments at weekly intervals are usually sufficient to achieve lasting relief. The Bowen Technique is suitable for adults, children including newborn babies and the elderly. I have been a registered nurse for over thirty years, and wanted to retrain in something that I believe is so beneficial. Using skills and knowledge that I have used over the years I can offer a unique experience.
