Emily Bell, our Roald Dahl's Marvellous Children's Charity Epilepsy Nurse Specialist was chosen along with 4 other (of the 72) Roald Dahl nurses to take a patient to London. The invite included a night in a hotel, attending Clarence House to meet the Duchess of Cornwall who is the Patron of the charity, dinner out at Zizzi with the other families and nurses and a reception at the Savoy with a Gingerbread workshop.

They stayed in 5* The Goring Hotel overnight which was gifted alongside breakfast by the hotel to the charity then had a meeting at The Savoy Hotel before attending Clarence House. Emily took with her 8 year old Megan Attwood and her mummy Vicki Demwell. Megan has been one of our patients for over two years and had had a challenging year with her seizures, she has had to have multiple investigation and appointments. She is so brave and has a beautiful smile that can light up rooms. The Duchess of Cornwall invited the children to decorate her Christmas tree and then served them lunch of sausage and mash before moving to the grounds to meet Rudolph and Blitzen.

**Updated at 4.33pm on Tuesday 28 May**

Kent Police detectives are seeking to locate the mother of an unaccompanied baby found outside the main entrance of Darent Valley Hospital are renewing their appeal for information.

The infant, who is a new-born boy of black or mixed race descent, was found outside the hospital entrance at around 3.15am on Friday 24 May 2019.

They are looking to identify a dark, four door saloon style vehicle seen in the area at the time as its occupant could have important information that can help identify the mother. To help trace the vehicle, officers would also like to hear from motorists with dashcam who were travelling in the surrounding area between 2.30am and 3.30am.

The investigators are also keen to hear from two people who were in the hospital car park at the time the baby was found.

Detective Chief Inspector Matt Talboys said: ‘It is really important that we locate the mother as we need to ensure she is safe and I urge her to call us on 999.

‘I would like to stress, there is nothing to fear in coming forward. The baby is safe, healthy and being taken care of but we need to make sure the mother is also getting any help she may need.

‘Given the close proximity to London and Essex, we are looking into the possibility the mother may be from these areas and we would therefore like to hear from anyone living in these areas, as well as Kent, who thinks they may have information that can help. What may appear to be insignificant to them could be hugely significant for our enquiries.

‘Anyone who thinks they have information, no matter how small it may seem, is asked to call us on 999 quoting 24-0117.’
