I aim to offer a holistic massage therapy at a convenient time, in the comfort of the clients home or from my treatment room in Sidcup. The term 'holistic' comes from the Greek word 'holos' meaning whole. The holistic approach aims to restore balance within the body, taking into account the person's whole being not just their physical symptoms or ailments. Massage therapy is an ancient form of healing, used for thousands of years. Holistic massage combines a therapeutic process of touch and response with each treatment adapted to the client’s unique needs, physical characteristics and personality. How will you benefit from holistic massage? Holistic massage is a person centred treatment guided by principles of sensitivity, awareness and quality of touch. This enables me to work with clients, pregnant (post first trimester), young and old, men and women. By applying techniques and skills in an appropriate manner, massage speeds up the natural healing processes of the body, calming the mind and settling emotions. Benefits include;
Relieving tension and relaxing tight, sore muscles
Improving skin and muscle tone
Encouraging better circulation
Awareness of body and breathing to improve posture
Relieving stiff joints
Promoting relaxation, thus reducing the effects of stress and anxiety
Inducing a deeper sleep
Aiding digestion
Increasing energy by invigorating all the body systems therefore reducing fatigue
What happens during a treatment? The first session will include an initial consultation to determine your present and past health and lifestyle, so as to tailor the massage to suit your needs and your treatment. This will take approximately 1 hour 15 minutes. Thereafter, sessions are 30 minutes or 60 minutes in duration. All prices available on contact. A truly holistic approach means working "with" you, so as well as agreeing a massage plan in advance, your feedback is encouraged both during and after the session. Reiki
Reiki is a complementary healing therapy, it is a natural healing system, it can benefit everyone, from young babies to adults and is a safe, non-invasive treatment. Universal energy is channeled through the practitioner to the recipient and works on all levels of the mind, body, emotion and spirit, allowing for total harmony and balance to be restored, working with the body's own natural ability to heal itself. Treatments are either for half hour or an hour or for a course of 4 one hour sessions, all prices available on contact. This is your treatment, your space and your time to relax! How about those new mums and babies....
