We prepared for our RSPB Big Garden Bird Watch count 🐦‍⬛session tomorrow by making our own fresh fatballs this afternoon and we filled up all our bird feeders outside our Home. We decided that our favourite garden bird is the Robin 🥰
We will enjoy watching and counting our featherd friends tomorrow.🏠

Celebrating Mariachi day in our Home 🎊🎶
Mariachi Music is a vibrant expression of Mexican culture known for its rhythms, colourful costumes and heartfelt storytelling. In our music and movement session with Alison this afternoon, residents wore brightly coloured sombreros, shook thier maracas, tambourines and pom poms. The upbeat exciting music encouraged movement and shared joy 🎊🎶😁

Our lovely residents ❤️ were thrilled to receive their Bon Voyage Club 🌎 Passports today. Our Hair Salon 💇‍♀️ 💈was open so everyone was keen to have their ‘passport’ photos 📷 taken with their beautiful coiffured hair 😁 and get all their stamps in for January. Our resident with the most stamps will receive a prize 🤩 at the end of each month 😊 Our Quiz today included Greek Mythology and we discussed Helen of Troy and the Trojan war, Jason and the Golden Fleece, The Iliad, Poisedon, Aphrodite, Zeus and Dionysus ( who is still our favourite 😉🍷🍾 ) and talking of revelry that led us to chatting about our favourite DJs for National DJ Day 🎧🎤📻

We started our day with a DOLLY PARTON 🤩Word Wheel 🧠 with morning coffee ☕️ 🍪 Using the letters from the words DOLLY PARTON we tried to create as many new words as we could. How many new words can you create?
Then this afternoon we did a Famous Birthdays for January Picture Quiz 🧠 before enjoying some of her fabulous music by watching the DOLLY PARTON 🤩 MUSIC TRIBUTE on Netflix with afternoon tea ☕️🍰😋

What an absolute joy to celebrate Tulip Day on this beautiful sunny Sunday morning with morning coffee, conversation and flower arranging in our lovely bright conservatory with a wonderful view of our garden 🌳💐☕️🥰🌷
We had a mixture of brightly coloured tulips and as its Greek Month we added some Narcissist daffodils which gave the arrangements a wonderful scent 👃 🇬🇷 🌼 The botanical name Narcissus comes from the Greek myth of Narcissus. 🇬🇷Narcissus who rejected all admirers as he was cursed to fall in love with his own reflection in a pool, pining away until he died, with a flower growing where he perished🌼🌼🌼

Happy Birthday Chris 🥳 Chris enjoyed a visit from a friend this morning and they opened his presents and cards 🥰 ☕️Another friend is taking him down into Sidmouth tomorrow for afternoon tea ☕️🧁
But today Chris requested fish 🐟 and chips 🍟 from our local Chippy for lunch. We hope you enjoyed it Chris, It smelt delicious 😋
