Been quiet on the clinic front, for work and personal reasons.
I have however been doing call outs/home visits.

Tonight I went to a friend (who knows better), but had been using cotton buds, had pushed the wax deep down and had lost hearing in both ears.. East Devon Ear Clinic to the rescue!

I will have clinics up and running shortly, but please do get in contact if needed before and I can arrange home visits

After seeing very clear ears in one client, my following client was the other end of the scale.

This client came into the clinic after noticing loss of hearing in their right ear. After examining both ears, you can see that both ear are heavily impacted with ear wax.

This had been years of wax build up, after working in dirty/messy work environments.

I was able to remove one ears ear wax with both irrigation and micro suction.
The other side was not as easy and was being very stubborn. In order to not cause unnecessary discomfort to the ear canal, it was agreed that further Earol spray was required for a longer period and a follow up appointment has been made (no extra charge for any follow up appointments where is is not possible to remove the ear wax in one appointment).

Here is a healthy looking ear drum, that I got to see in my last clinic, where you can see a clear view of the tympanic membrane (TM).

This client came into the clinic due to increase buzzing and ringing in their ear, after examining the ear canals, both ears were clear and free from wax, ruling out ear wax as the cause for this.

Often when hearing problems start - whether that is buzzing/ringing, loss of hearing, irritation - a starting point is figuring out if you have a build up of ear wax, something that can cause these problems, but is fairly straight forward to access and remove - often in one appointment.

The camera otoscope is fantastic for you to see into your own ear too, this piece of equipment will allow you to see what I see

(Note, I'm still getting used to using the camera and taking clear photo with one hand).
