We’re Compassion Care Service LTD a Domiciliary care service in Sileby and we provide a range of care and support services.

We’re seeking to recruit some great new care workers; people with the right values and attitude to work in our Domiciliary care service – could this be you?

Our main priority for this job role is to find people with the right attitude and behaviours to match our own! You don’t need to have previous experience in this field, nor do you need qualifications to get started – we’re happy to work with you to help you become an excellent care worker.

Above all we want someone that:

- Has a commitment to quality and being the best, they can.
- Can provide excellent care and support to all our service users
- Treats others with dignity and respect
- Works well as part of a team.

The duties are varied, and no two days will be the same. Our service users are individuals, and they all deserve to be treated as such. Duties may include supporting with personal care needs, as well as helping them to take part in a wide range of special interests and activities that support their health and wellbeing such as arts and crafts, watching the football, drama, musical evenings, gardening, shopping trips and social occasions.

There are also a range of different shift patterns available to fit in with any other commitments you may already have.

A new Sparkle for Social Care initiative will see people across the UK adding glitter to their outfits, switching on fairy lights and putting tinsel in their windows on Monday 13th April. The purpose is to show their support for frontline care workers and the part they are playing in tackling coronavirus.

The ‘Sparkle for Social Care’ initiative is asking people to use anything that sparkles, and to post photos on social media using the hashtag , to show those who care for society’s most vulnerable that they are valued and appreciated.

Almost 2 million care workers are currently looking after the most vulnerable people in the UK, helping them to get through the lockdown.

By continuing to provide care for those in desperate need during this crisis, care workers are potentially putting themselves at risk. There is a nationwide shortage of personal protective equipment (PPE), meaning care workers are often having to carry out their roles with little to prevent them being infected.

Good morning everyone. Compassion Care is a homecare service operating in the Charnwood and Leicester area. Currently, we are struggling to locate disposable aprons due to the shortage of PPE. Do you know a beautician, dentist or other business that would be able to provide us with some aprons while they are closed? We appreciate any help, meaning that we can continue to serve your community, and especially those who are vulnerable, during this difficult time. Thankyou in advance for any help.
