Exciting times for our animal-loving residents! 🐾 Stacey and her four-legged companion Tallulah, from Pets As Therapy, have been forming wonderful bonds with everyone, bringing cuddles and smiles with every visit.

We’re also thrilled that our bi-weekly visits from Animal Magic are back after a short summer break - Onslow and Lyra will be joining us again this month for more fun!

All aboard the Spellman Express! We’ve been making the most of the summer sunshine with some fantastic outings - from our ever popular stop at Bolton Abbey tearooms to a visit to Bingley garden centre to fuel our green-fingered gardening club. We’ve strolled by the Kildwick canal side cafe and topped it off with a sweet treat at Billy Bobs ice cream parlour.

Where should the Spellman Express stop next? We’d love to hear your suggestions!

What a Week at Springbank Care Home!

On Tuesday, we had our regular Best Teas and Coffee morning, which was extra special as we celebrated 'M's' birthday with plenty of cake and songs. Later that afternoon, everyone enjoyed a fabulous sing-along and a visit from the lovely Holly the dog, who got lots of cuddles and attention!

We also had a fantastic trip to Sutton Park Pavilion Café, where we enjoyed a lovely morning out. The highlight for many was our fascinating visit to Cliffe Castle Museum, which ended perfectly with some delicious ice cream!

What a day! Our Summer Fete was an absolutely brilliant celebration of Springbank's 150th birthday, and we couldn't have done it without you.

A huge thank you to everyone who came and celebrated with us. It was wonderful to see so many of our residents, their families, and members of the community enjoying the day. We hope you all had a blast with the bouncy castle, garden games, sweet stall, and fantastic food and drinks!

And a massive shout-out to all the local businesses who so generously donated prizes for our raffle:

Thanks to your support, and everyone who bought a ticket, we've raised an incredible amount for Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice. We'll be announcing the final total soon, but we are so grateful for your generosity.

It's been a lovely week here at Springbank, with so many wonderful activities keeping us busy and entertained!

On Monday, we enjoyed a fantastic campfire-style singalong with the wonderful Strumshine. It was a great way to start the week with some music and fun!

Wednesday was a particularly busy day! We started with our "Best Teas and Coffee" morning in the beautiful Bluebell Garden, followed by some dedicated time with our Garden Club where we did lots of pruning and tidying. In the afternoon, we had a very interesting talk all about beekeeping. We also took a great trip out to Canal Side Cafe in Kildwick. The staff were brilliant and so welcoming, and they even donated a raffle prize to us. We had a lovely afternoon watching wild deer and a steam train while enjoying ice cream and lemonade—the perfect afternoon in beautiful scenery! For Wellbeing Wednesday, this month we're treating our staff to party bags and VIP invites to our summer fayre on Saturday. Raffle tickets are now on sale for £1 a strip from the office!

Yesterday was a day of pampering and games! Everyone enjoyed a Pamper Day in our Bloom Salon, leaving everyone looking gorgeous. This was followed by a fun afternoon of Bingo.

We're so grateful for all the happy moments we've shared this week and are already looking forward to our summer fayre on Saturday!
