🎄 A Weekend of Magic & Memories at Springbank! 🐴

We’ve had the most wonderful weekend here at Springbank Care Home, filled with nostalgia and some very special festive visitors!

We spent a cosy Saturday "Remembering Christmas Past." It was a beautiful afternoon of sharing stories, reminiscing about childhood traditions, and reflecting on the magic of Christmases gone by. There’s nothing quite like the power of shared memories to bring us all together.

The excitement continued on Sunday afternoon when we welcomed the lovely Katie and Hazel the miniature horse! They certainly looked the part, both arriving fully dressed up as Christmas elves! 🧝‍♀️🐴

Our residents were absolutely delighted to meet Hazel; there were smiles all round and plenty of festive cheers. A huge thank you to Katie for bringing so much joy to our home.

❄️ Music, Memories and Magic at Springbank! ❄️

We have had such a wonderful day here at Springbank Care Home, filled with community spirit and plenty of creativity.

🎵 A Joyful Morning

We started our day on a high note with a lovely visit from the Methodist Church. There is nothing quite like a good sing-along to brighten the atmosphere! It was heart-warming to see so many smiles and hear everyone joining in with their favourite hymns and songs. A huge thank you to the church team for spending their morning with us.

☃️ Getting Crafty

The fun continued into the afternoon as we rolled up our sleeves for a festive craft session. We’ve been busy making our very own homemade snow globes! It took a bit of concentration, but the end results are simply magical. Our residents loved choosing their winter scenes and watching the "snow" fall inside their jars.

It’s been a day full of laughter and festive cheer. 💙

The kitchen at Springbank Care Home has been full of festive aromas today! 🎄✨

Our talented chef prepared a wonderful selection of seasonal treats for everyone to enjoy. From traditional mince pies to beautifully decorated biscuits, the home is certainly smelling like Christmas.

🎬 Buzzing Weekends at Springbank! 🥂

Yesterday afternoon, our residents enjoyed a truly wonderful cinematic experience at The Hive, complete with a delightful afternoon tea! From classic films to cosy treats, it was a perfect way to spend a Saturday.

🤗 Hugs and Handprints at Springbank! 🤗

It was simply heart-warming to witness such a lovely intergenerational activity this morning. Our residents had an absolute blast making memories with the wonderful children from Handprints Nursery!

Intergenerational activities like these are immensely beneficial for everyone involved, boosting well-being for our elderly residents and offering unique learning experiences for the young people.

Thank you to the Handprints Nursery children for bringing so much joy and laughter to Springbank today!

💖 Sparkling Moments and Festive Delight at Springbank Care Home! 🎄

What an incredibly heart-warming and busy week it's been here at Springbank Care Home, filled with laughter, kindness, and wonderful festive preparations!

Our joyful journey began last Friday, with a wonderfully fun afternoon singing beloved Carols together. The air was truly filled with the spirit of Christmas as residents joined in the melodies!

Tuesday was a double dose of festive cheer! We were uplifted by the beautiful Christmas singing from Katie Wilkinson, which brightened the morning. This was immediately followed by a delightful, hands-on crafting session where we enjoyed decorating sparkling Christmas baubles with Eaton’s, adding our own personal touch to the decorations.

On Wednesday, we enjoyed a lovely change of scenery and stimulation with a charming trip out with Moss and Moore. It was wonderful to get out and about, with so much to look at and discover!

Yesterday, our hearts were warmed by an extraordinary act of kindness! One of our talented residents lovingly presented a beautiful, fantastic knitted blanket, which will be a precious contribution to our Children's Christmas Collection. A huge thank you to our resident for their incredible generosity and thoughtfulness! The day was also dedicated to pure pampering, where the fabulous Lisa worked her magic up in the Bloom Room, making our residents look and feel absolutely wonderful. We even celebrated some special Birthdays right there at the salon—what a treat!

It has truly been a magnificent week of engagement, kindness, and festive joy for all our residents!
