Sometimes we need to think holistically , outside of the box , about things that we can do to improve our QUALITY OF LIFE. Self-care Is a very inward choice and hard when your in fight mode (fighting illness can put our bodies in a state of fight and defense which in effect makes us feel even worse). Self-care is so very important , it starts with YOU and there are tons of things we can do which boost wellbeing. Creating a HEALING HAVEN within your home , or even better several different spaces, that are totally geared towards comfort , rest , distraction , safety and healing. For example your favourite chair , with a comfy blanket , cushion , books etc where you can sit or your bed or a bench outside ... set the area up with lighting , a candle , fluffy blanket , hot water bottles , your favourite drink or snack etc take the time to feel motivated by the process , of doing something for you ... choose the bubble bath , choose the music , choose whatever it is from knitting , painting , make up station , reading , YouTube etc doesn’t matter but YOU deserve it.
