Thank you for helping Demelza to create moments of sunshine. ✨

"We bring sunshine to families by making sure they have a great time. They’re going through so much, but we can help them make amazing memories that are unique to them and their family. And we can fit our care around what they need in that moment." - Health Care Assistant, Elle.

From vision to reality - a legacy of extraordinary care. 💙

We are celebrating the remarkable impact of a man whose compassion changed countless lives: Derek Phillips, founder of Demelza. 🌍

Motivated by love and loss, Derek and his wife Jennifer built something extraordinary - a place where children and their families find comfort, support and hope every single day.

Demelza simply wouldn’t exist without him. Today, we honour Derek’s vision, courage and unwavering commitment. Thank you, Derek. ✨

Demelza Hospice Care for Children

Demelza Hospice Care for Children is a charity providing specialist care and emotional support for children with terminal conditions, and their loved ones across Kent, South East London and East Sussex.

Our Mission: At Demelza, we believe every child and young person who has a terminal condition should receive the care and attention they need to live the most fulfilling life they can. We aim to provide specialist care and support to babies, children, and young people, to give them and their families the opportunity to build memories, for however long they have together. Demelza’s care covers diagnosis, day to day family life, times of crisis, end of life, and through bereavement, providing support for all those affected.

Company Overview: Demelza provides specialist care and emotional support for children with terminal conditions and their loved ones, so they can enjoy their time together as a family, for as long as they have.

We care for children with a range of different conditions, some of which are very complex and so rare, they have no name.
