How are you standing when you iron?

It might seem like a small thing, but ironing is one of those everyday tasks that can quietly build up strain in your body.

If your ironing board is too high → your shoulders creep up.Too low → you end up stooping.

The good news is, a few small adjustments can make a big difference — especially if you’re tackling a big pile.
✨ Set your board at the right height✨ Keep your shoulders relaxed✨ Move with the iron instead of twisting

If you’ve been noticing aches creeping in during everyday jobs like this, it’s worth looking at how you’re moving day-to-day.

Feel free to get in touch or book an appointment if you’d like some support with this.

Thank you so much for your kind words and trusting me during such an important time in your life. It truly means the world to me! It is incredibly rewarding to know you felt supported, heard and found lasting relief from our sessions together.
“I can’t recommend Urvi enough. I saw her throughout my pregnancy and she was genuinely beyond amazing.

From the very first session, she was incredibly empathetic, understanding, and reassuring. Pregnancy can come with so many aches and pains, and I was really struggling, particularly with pelvic girdle pain and sciatica. I’d been told by doctors to just rely on paracetamol, which felt quite limiting and didn’t really address the root of the problem.

Working with Urvi completely changed that for me. Her approach is so thoughtful and tailored. She takes the time to really understand what your body is going through and adapts each session accordingly. Her techniques are gentle but highly effective, combining hands-on treatment with practical advice, movement guidance, and exercises that actually make a difference day to day.

What stood out most was how she focuses on long-term relief, not just short-term fixes. She helped me understand my body better, improve my mobility, and manage pain in a way that felt natural and sustainable.

Thanks to her, I felt more in control of my body during pregnancy and far less reliant on medication. If you’re pregnant and dealing with discomfort, I honestly wouldn’t go anywhere else.”

If this is you and you’re feeling stuck with discomfort, don’t wait for it to settle on its own, feel free to get in touch or book an appointment.

This World Health Day, it’s a reminder that health is about more than just being pain-free — it’s about how well your body functions, adapts, and supports you every day.

As an osteopath, I see how modern life can take its toll. Long hours sitting, stress, busy routines, and poor posture can all build up over time, often showing up as tension, discomfort, or reduced mobility.

Osteopathy takes a whole-body approach to health, helping to:
✨ Reduce pain and muscular tension
✨ Improve posture and movement
✨ Support the body’s natural balance
✨ Encourage overall wellbeing

Your body works hard for you every single day — today is a good reminder to give something back.

Spring always brings a sense of new beginnings.

Longer days, lighter evenings… and everywhere you look, new life arriving.

Speaking of that — did you know that I also treat women during pregnancy and after birth?

Pregnancy places huge physical demands on the body. As your body adapts, it’s common to experience back pain, pelvic discomfort, changes in posture, and general aches that can make day-to-day life feel harder than it should.

Post-natal recovery comes with its own challenges too — whether that’s lingering pain, weakness, or simply trying to feel like yourself again while caring for a newborn.

Osteopathy offers gentle, tailored support through both stages — helping to ease discomfort, support recovery, and give your body the care it deserves during such a significant time.

If you’re pregnant, recently had a baby, or just want to feel more comfortable in your body again, I’m here to help .

Feel free to message me if you’d like to find out more.

It’s amazing to come and see her here. It’s a really great set up. She was so warm and welcoming, but also very reassuring, very professional. So, I knew I was in safe hands from the moment I walked in.”

Thank you so much to Helen for this wonderful testimonial.

Feeling at ease from the moment you walk in matters. I’ve created a calm, welcoming space where I want you to feel listened to and supported.

In my practice, I see a wide range of issues and osteopathy can help with more than many people realise.

It’s not just about injuries. I regularly support patients with everyday aches, ongoing stiffness, and discomfort linked to stress and tension.

My focus is on how your body moves and adapts. By improving this, I aim to reduce strain, ease discomfort, and help you feel more comfortable and back in control.

You don’t have to keep putting up with it.

If something doesn’t feel right, or you’ve been dealing with ongoing discomfort, feel free to get in touch or book an appointment.

Gardening should feel good…not leave you stiff and sore the next day.

I’ve been seeing more and more people coming in after long days in the garden - usually after hours of bending forward like this.
That position can increase the load on your lower back by up to 400% every time you bend 😳

So what can you do instead?
✔️ Keep your back more upright✔️ Use a 3-point position (knee, foot, and hand for support)✔️ Let the load go through your legs and arms, not your lower back✔️ Take regular breaks✔️ When lifting or moving things, go slow and crouch rather than lean

Small changes like these can make a huge difference, helping you enjoy your garden without the aftermath.

If gardening has been leaving you sore, it might be time to look at how your body is moving. I can help you get back to doing what you love, comfortably.

What If Pain Wasn’t Your Normal?

Living with pain can slowly become something you just “get used to.” It becomes part of your routine… something you push through, manage, or ignore.

But it doesn’t have to stay that way.

I see so many people who come in feeling stuck with their pain—but with the right support, things start to change. They may still have some pain, but it no longer controls what they can and can’t do. They’re able to get back to the things they enjoy, move more freely, and feel more like themselves again.

Your body is constantly adapting. With the right approach, it can change, move better, and feel better over time.

As an osteopath, I look at the bigger picture not just where it hurts, but why. Using hands-on treatment and a whole-body approach, the aim is to reduce tension, improve movement, and support your body in functioning at its best.

You don’t have to accept pain as your day-to-day.

If you’re ready to feel more comfortable in your body again, feel free to get in touch and book an appointment today.

Recovery doesn’t have to be dramatic to matter.

I often see patients expecting big, instant changes but real progress is usually much quieter than that. It’s in the small wins: moving a little easier, feeling slightly less discomfort, sleeping a bit better.

Even when it feels slow, your body is adapting and responding. Those gradual improvements are signs that things are heading in the right direction.

With the right guidance and a bit of patience, these small steps build into long-lasting results.

Trust the process - your progress is happening!

If you’re struggling with pain or not seeing the progress you’d like, feel free to get in touch or book an appointment.

Ready to rebuild trust in your body after pain?

Pain can make your body feel unreliable or even a bit unsafe. Many of the patients I see start to worry about certain movements or feel unsure about what their body can handle anymore.

A big part of my role is helping patients rebuild that trust.

With clear explanations, gentle treatment, and guided movement, we work through things step by step. As patients start to better understand their pain and experience safe movement again, their confidence in their body begins to grow.

Supporting patients as they regain trust in their body is one of the most important parts of what I do.

If pain is making you feel unsure about your body, you don’t have to navigate it alone. Feel free to get in touch or book an appointment, I’d be happy to help!

It’s World Sleep Day, so let’s talk about something that affects far more than just how tired you feel.
Sleep plays a vital role in how your brain, muscles, hormones and immune system function.

When sleep quality is poor, it can affect the body in many ways, including:
• Reduced concentration, memory and mental performance
• Increased irritability and stress hormones
• Lower pain threshold and increased fatigue
• Higher risk of inflammation, illness and digestive issues
• Increased blood pressure and metabolic changes

In other words, sleep isn’t just rest — it’s when your body carries out essential repair and regulation.
Adults generally need 7–9 hours of good quality sleep each night, but factors such as stress, pain, irregular routines and screen time can all disrupt this.

If pain or tension is affecting your sleep, supporting the body through treatment can make a real difference.

How many hours of sleep do you get each night?
