Yesterday Bell road hosted a cake bring and buy sale to raise further funds towards our dragon boat fundraising for Mentalkhealth - Sittingbourne. They raised an additional £144 which now takes us over the £1000 mark in total. we still have two more events before the big day itself when we will also have a stall on site too 😀 Huge thanks to Shirley and the the bell road team helping the service users arrange the event and giving us another excuse to gather (and to eat cake). https://gofund.me/c5d1e162

Congratulations to Ivan for earning the Employee of the Month award amongst our sheltered employment scheme team. Ivan collected his award and prize on Friday which meant he also needed his photo taking with Mr B😆😀 Chris tells us all that this is the highlight of being chosen 😏

We have been quiet for a while having far too much fun. to date we have raised just over £700 for our chosen charity Mentalkhealth - Sittingbourne and we have just over a month to go until our Dragon boat race. we are still sitting approx £300 form our fund raising target and would really like to smash our last race efforts. Ashley has set up a Go Fund me page should anyone like to add to our fundraising totals. Every £ really counts.

It has been a while since I have opened up my emails and found an update form someone's trip out. Jack sent me that happy mail today about his trip and this is what he told me....
Last Friday me and staff went on a coach trip with NK holidays to see Evita at the London palladium. Before the show we went to Bodeans American BBQ restaurant I had Shrimps, Spicy chicken wings, Brisket, Fries and onion rings. I had to get a glass of milk because the chicken was too spicy! I had an ice cream in the show. When we went in the building it was massive! I bought some merch a bottle, program, record and t-shirt. We sat on the royal circle row B, I was nervous, but I sang along I loved it so much and we didn’t get home until 1am!
Sounds like Jack had a great time and the pictures show us just that. Thanks for sharing Jack 😁

Huge Congratulations to Neil, our February Employee of the month in our sheltered employment scheme. 😀😁As our Head Office window cleaner, he is always reliable, consistently delivers high-quality work, and brings a positive attitude, making him a pleasure to have on the team. This afternoon Paula from our Cartref House Service made Collette some cupcakes and a beautiful card to celebrate 20 years of being employed with Cartref Homes. There were more cakes but we may have made a start tucking in before we thought to take a picture!! Thank you Paula 🥳😆😀

The votes are in!!!! The fun committee here at Cartref Homes can share that the chosen charity for our 2025 entry to the Dragon Boat race at Bewl water will be - Sittingbourne . I love that the Service Users have chosen a local charity this year and one that is a very worthy recipient. We smashed our £1000 target last time and I am hopeful we can do so again this time too. So, please consider this your public service announcement and warning that we will be bombarding you with lots of events and sharing all the fun we have whilst raising the much needed funds.
