Walking plays an important role in supporting physical development, health and participation for individuals with mobility needs.

Regular walking can help improve cardiovascular, respiratory and digestive health, strengthen muscles and bone density, and support balance, coordination and motor learning. Beyond the physical benefits, supported walking can also increase confidence, independence and social engagement across education, therapy and home environments.

We are pleased to announce that Karl Brookes has been promoted to Product Specialist Manager – Wheelchair Services.

In his new role, Karl will continue to work closely with Wheelchair Services, providing expert product support, delivering high-level product training and supporting clinic days. He will also continue to manage a selection of Wheelchair Services, ensuring continuity, consistency and strong, sustainable performance.

This role strengthens how we support our customers and reinforces our long-term commitment to delivering reliable, knowledgeable and responsive support across Wheelchair Services.

We are delighted to share this video from National Star, which shows how the use of the Grillo Gait Trainer has enabled more independent walking for Max, allowing him to choose where he goes, select activities for himself and express his wishes and preferences more clearly than before.

We are pleased to share that RMS is now officially registered as an FDA Establishment, with our registration publicly visible on the U.S. Food and Drug Administration website.

This milestone supports our continued international growth and reinforces our commitment to quality, safety and regulatory compliance in the US market.

As we look ahead to celebrating 50 years of RMS in 2026, this year has already included some memorable moments, including a photoshoot with Chloe Plummerr, a Kaye Walker user and a genuinely positive person who was a pleasure to work with.

Congratulations to Lando Norris on becoming Formula 1 World Champion. This moment feels particularly special as Lando recently met the young fan in this photo, she uses one of our Kaye Walkers and follows his journey with great enthusiasm.
Her world is supported by four wheels of a different kind and she is very much a champion in her own right.
