One thing I try to do each day is focus on the most important tasks first.

I start by writing a simple to-do list and then tackle the highest priority items early in the day while my energy and concentration are at their best. Once those are done, everything else feels far less overwhelming.

It’s such a small habit, but it really helps me stay organised and feel more in control of the day ahead.

What’s the first thing on your list for tomorrow? šŸ’™

Here’s something interesting I was reading recently…

Did you know that constipation can actually affect your gut bacteria and even influence cholesterol levels?

It all comes down to how your body processes cholesterol. If your diet is lacking in certain types of fibre, you can not only end up feeling a bit ā€œblocked upā€, but you also miss out on fibres that help bind cholesterol in the gut. That means it’s less likely to be absorbed into your bloodstream.

Foods like oats and legumes contain these helpful fibres, which support both digestion and heart health.

There was even a study involving over 70,000 women that found constipation can be a marker of increased cardiovascular risk. It just shows how connected our digestive health is to the rest of the body.

If things aren’t moving quite as they should, here are a few simple things that can help:

šŸ’™ Add prunes or kiwis to your day
Some research suggests eating two kiwis a day for a couple of weeks can really help get things moving.

šŸ’™ Consider a fibre supplement like psyllium husk
Mixed with water, it can be a helpful way to increase fibre intake.

šŸ’™ Stay hydrated
Water helps soften stools and keeps everything moving through the digestive system.

šŸ’™ Gentle daily movement
Even a walk can stimulate the digestive system.

šŸ’™ Focus on fibre-rich foods
Whole grains, fruit, vegetables and legumes all support gut health.

šŸ’™ Reduce ultra-processed foods
These are often low in fibre and can slow digestion.

Gut health isn’t always the most glamorous topic, but it’s such an important part of overall wellbeing.

Have you found anything that helps your digestion? Share your tips below, it might help someone else too šŸ’™

Mother’s Day can mean many different things to different people.

For some, it’s a day full of love, hugs and family time.
For others, it can bring memories, reflection, or quiet moments of gratitude for those who shaped us.

Today I’m simply feeling thankful.

Thankful for my children who made me a mum, for the laughter we share, and for the lessons that come with motherhood. It’s not always easy, it’s often messy, and it definitely doesn’t come with a manual… but it is one of the greatest privileges of my life.

I’m also thinking of all the incredible mums, step-mums, grandmas, mother figures, and those who carry the love of a mum in their hearts.

However today looks for you, I hope it brings a moment of warmth, appreciation and kindness.

Happy Mother’s Day šŸ’

Today is World Obesity Day, and I want to take a moment to talk about something that often gets misunderstood.

Obesity is not about laziness.
It’s not about lack of willpower.
And it certainly doesn’t define who you are as a person.

Weight is influenced by so many things… genetics, hormones, environment, stress, health conditions and life circumstances. For many people, especially women, those factors can make the journey even more challenging.

I know this not just as a Consultant, but personally. I’ve lost 7 stone myself, while living with chronic illness and mobility issues. It wasn’t about being perfect. It was about having the right support, structure and understanding around me.

That’s why I’m so passionate about helping others. Because no one should feel judged or alone when they’re trying to improve their health.

World Obesity Day isn’t about shame.
It’s about awareness, compassion and support.

If you’ve been struggling, please know that change is possible, and you don’t have to do it on your own. When you’re ready, I’m here to help šŸ’™

As many of you know, I sing and play bass in a band. Music has always been part of who I am. But when I was at my largest, standing on stage didn’t feel empowering… it felt awkward.

I felt like all eyes were on me.
I’d question myself.
ā€œWhy is she up there?ā€
ā€œDo I even look like I belong here?ā€

The spotlight felt heavy.

After losing 7 stone, something shifted. Not just physically, but mentally. Yes, I’m slimmer. Yes, I fit into a size 14 instead of a 22/24. But the biggest change wasn’t the dress size. It was how I carried myself.

Because of my chronic illness, I’m not going to be stage diving or dancing wildly across the stage… and that’s okay. My body has limits.

But my heart dances.

It dances because I know how hard I’ve worked on myself. It dances because I feel more confident standing there. It dances because I’m no longer shrinking myself under the lights.

Real confidence isn’t loud or flashy.
It’s steady.
It’s earned.
It’s knowing you’ve shown up for yourself.

And if I can build that confidence despite illness, flare-ups and mobility challenges, you absolutely can too šŸ’™

If you’re ready to start believing in yourself again, I’m here.

Have you ever tried dry brushing?

It’s one of those little self-care habits that feels simple but can make such a difference, especially when you’re on a journey of looking after your body properly.

Dry brushing is exactly what it sounds like… using a natural bristle brush on dry skin before you shower. And the benefits are lovely:

✨ Helps exfoliate dead skin cells, leaving your skin smoother and brighter
✨ Can improve circulation, giving your skin a healthy glow
✨ Supports your lymphatic system, which plays a role in removing waste from the body
✨ May help improve the appearance of skin texture
✨ Feels energising and wakes you up in the morning

It’s not a miracle cure and it won’t magically change your body overnight, but it is a beautiful way to show your body a little care and attention.

How to dry brush properly:
• Always brush on dry skin before showering
• Use long, gentle strokes towards your heart
• Start at your feet and work upwards
• Use light pressure, your skin should feel stimulated, not scratched
• Shower afterwards and apply moisturiser

I love it because it encourages you to reconnect with your body in a positive way. When you’re on a weight loss journey, that mindset shift is powerful.

It’s not just about changing how your body looks. It’s about looking after it with kindness šŸ’™

Have you tried dry brushing before?

I want to say this gently but honestly… now is the time.

Don’t wait until the wedding invite lands on the doormat.
Don’t wait until you’re dreading being in the photos.
Don’t wait until you’re standing in front of the wardrobe feeling frustrated.

I’ve seen what’s possible when someone decides not to leave it to the last minute.

Kim lost an incredible 3 stone with The 1:1 Diet, and part of her motivation was her wedding. She didn’t want to look back at her photos and think, ā€œI wish I’d tried.ā€

She committed. She stayed focused. And in just 4 weeks before the big day, she lost 13lbs.

But what really mattered wasn’t just the number on the scales. It was how she felt. Confident. Comfortable. Proud.

And that’s what I want for you.

Life’s big moments don’t wait until we feel ready. The holidays, the weddings, the birthdays, the photos… they happen anyway. The question is, how do you want to feel when they do?

You don’t need to panic or go extreme. You just need to start.

If there’s something coming up this year, or you’re simply tired of feeling uncomfortable in your own skin, let’s not leave it until the last minute.

Get in touch today. Your future self will thank you šŸ’™

This year, my love language is confidence, self-care, and staying committed to my goals.

Valentine’s doesn’t have to be about overdoing it with food. It can be about feeling amazing in your own skin, making choices that support you, and maybe steering the gifts in a slightly shinier direction!

If you’re staying on Plan this February, you absolutely don’t have to miss out. There are plenty of ways to enjoy the romance without derailing your progress.

Because honestly, the best glow-up is the one you give yourself šŸ’™

And if something sparkly appears as well… well, that’s just a bonus!

One thing I see time and time again is people blaming themselves for ā€œlack of willpowerā€. And honestly, it breaks my heart a little, because weight loss was never meant to be a constant battle.

So many of us have spent years fighting food.
Feeling tired.
Feeling guilty.
Second-guessing every choice.

What I love about The 1:1 Diet is that it gently takes you from willpower battles to food choices that feel easier. From low energy days to feeling properly fuelled. From comfort eating to conscious, supported choices that still fit real life.

This isn’t about guessing what to eat or relying on motivation alone. It’s about having nutritionally complete options, built on proven science, that support steady progress and help your body get what it actually needs.

From my own weight loss journey, I know first-hand how important it is to have food that supports your energy, not drains it, and a plan that works with your life rather than against it.

This approach is about clarity, not confusion. Structure, not restriction. And progress you can actually sustain.

If you’re ready to move away from quick fixes and start making choices that feel easier and more supportive, I’d love to help šŸ’™

30/01/2026

One of the reasons I believe so strongly in The 1:1 Diet is because it isn’t built on guesswork, quick fixes, or the latest trends. It’s supported by real research and designed to create lasting change.

So many people come to me feeling confused and overwhelmed. They’ve tried doing it alone, followed conflicting advice, or jumped from one plan to the next. What they’re really looking for is clarity, structure, and something they can trust.

The 1:1 Diet is backed by decades of research into nutrition, behaviour change, and weight management. It’s why the plan is structured in Steps, why the products are nutritionally complete, and why support is at the heart of everything we do.

For me, this matters deeply. I lost 7 stone myself, despite living with chronic illness and mobility issues, and I know first-hand that sustainable results come from the right combination of science, structure, and understanding. Not pressure. Not blame. And definitely not doing it alone.

This approach is about long-term health, confidence, and feeling in control again. It’s about moving from confusion to clarity, from quick fixes to lasting change, and from feeling stuck to believing in what’s possible.

If you’re ready for support that’s evidence-based, personalised, and genuinely kind, I’d love to help you take that next step šŸ’™

I absolutely love sharing stories like this šŸ’™

As a frontline paramedic, Aidan wanted to transform his health so he could continue helping others at his best. After a low moment on a ride at Blackpool Pleasure Beach, he made a decision that would change everything and committed to losing weight with The 1:1 Diet.

That decision has been truly life-changing. Aidan has lost an incredible 6st 2lbs in 9 months, and the confidence he’s gained goes far beyond the scales. He’s now planning his wedding for 2026, and the future is looking brighter than ever.

In Aidan’s own words:
"This journey has been life-changing. I'm not just losing weight, I'm gaining life."

Stories like Aidan’s are such a powerful reminder of what’s possible with the right support and belief in yourself.

Huge congratulations to Aidan Pritchard, our Man of the Year winner. What an achievement šŸ‘

If his journey has inspired you and you’re ready to take that first step, I’m here to help šŸ’™
