It’s easy to feel like the start of the year has flown by, but those first few months haven’t been wasted. They’ve given you something really valuable… experience.

Maybe you’ve learnt what works for you.
Maybe you’ve discovered what doesn’t.
Maybe life simply got in the way for a while.

Whatever the last three months looked like, you still have nine months ahead of you to shape the rest of your year.

Just imagine how you might feel by December if you started now:

✨ Feeling healthier and more energised
✨ More confident in your clothes
✨ Proud of the promises you kept to yourself

You don’t need a perfect moment to begin. You just need a starting point and someone in your corner to support you along the way.

And that’s exactly what I’m here for.

If you’ve been thinking about making a change, drop me a message and we’ll chat about how we can make the next nine months count. 💙

“How do I motivate myself to lose weight?”

It’s one of the most common questions I’m asked.

The truth is… motivation doesn’t always just appear. Most people need the right support, a clear plan and someone in their corner cheering them on.

That’s where I come in.

When you start your journey with The 1:1 Diet, you’re not doing it alone. I work with you to choose the right Step and create a weight-loss plan that fits your lifestyle, your routine and your goals. And I’m there to support you through the good weeks and the challenging ones too.

Something else that really helps is visualising your goal.

Think about how you want to feel.
Maybe it’s feeling confident in your clothes again.
Maybe it’s having more energy.
Maybe it’s simply walking into a room without feeling self-conscious.

Keep that picture in your mind when motivation dips. It can be a powerful reminder of why you started.

Another thing my clients love is the convenience of the products. With shakes, bars, meals, soups and porridges ready in minutes, there’s no complicated meal prep or guesswork. It makes staying on track much easier, even when life gets busy.

Motivation often grows once you start seeing progress… and with the right support behind you, that progress can happen sooner than you think.

If you’re ready to get started, send me a message and we’ll chat about what might work best for you. 💙

Ever wondered why cravings suddenly hit?

One minute you’re fine… the next you’re thinking about chocolate, bread or something sweet. We’ve all been there!

But cravings aren’t always just about willpower. Sometimes your brain or body is actually asking for something specific.

🍫 Chocolate cravings
That creamy sweetness lights up the brain’s “feel-good” chemicals, which is why it’s so satisfying. Sometimes, though, your body may actually be looking for magnesium. Foods like almonds, bananas, pumpkin seeds and spinach contain it.
And if chocolate really is calling your name, don’t worry… there are plenty of chocolatey products on Plan that can satisfy that craving without throwing you off track.

🍬 Sugary cravings
Sugar gives a quick boost that our brains love, especially when we’re tired or stressed. Occasionally it can also signal a need for nutrients like Vitamin C or magnesium. The good news is there are fruity options on Plan that still feel like a treat while keeping things balanced.

🍞 Carb cravings
Bread, pasta and potatoes are common comfort foods because they can trigger that same feel-good response in the brain. But sometimes your body may simply be looking for energy or certain B vitamins.

✨ A little tip: next time a craving pops up, pause for a moment and ask yourself what your body might really need. Often just being aware of it helps you make a choice you’ll feel better about afterwards.

And remember, you don’t have to figure it all out alone. If cravings are something you struggle with, I’m always here to help you find solutions that actually work in real life.

Top 3 most painful experiences…

1️⃣ Standing on a Lego
2️⃣ Stubbing your toe on the corner of the bed
3️⃣ Dropping your carefully portioned meal on the floor 😭

Honestly… that third one hurts on a whole different level!

When you’ve planned your meal, measured everything out perfectly… and then gravity decides to get involved. Typical.

But moments like that are part of real life. Progress isn’t about being perfect every single day. It’s about laughing it off, learning from it, and getting straight back on track.

So tell me… what’s been your funniest or most frustrating slimming slip-up?

Let’s have a laugh together in the comments 👇

Sometimes the biggest thing holding us back… isn’t our circumstances.
It’s the story we keep telling ourselves.

I hear it all the time when people first speak to me.

“I can’t do it.”
“I don’t have time.”
“I’m not as good as everyone else.”

And I understand those thoughts because I’ve had them too. There was a time when my health, my mobility and my confidence were all at rock bottom. Losing 7 stone didn’t happen overnight, and it certainly didn’t start with perfect belief in myself.

It started with one small decision… to stop listening to the voice that said I couldn’t.

The truth is, nobody begins their journey feeling completely ready. We all start with doubts. What matters is taking that first step anyway.

Be kind to yourself. Speak to yourself the way you would speak to a friend. And remember that progress doesn’t begin with perfection… it begins with belief.

If this resonated with you, share it with someone who might need to hear it today. 💙

Have you ever noticed how confusing women’s clothing sizes can be?

One shop you’re a size 16… the next shop you’re an 18… and somewhere else you’re a 14. It can leave you standing in a changing room wondering what on earth is going on.

The truth is, you’re not imagining it. Clothing sizes aren’t standardised. Every retailer sets their own measurements and uses different fit models, which means the same “size” can vary massively from one brand to another. Add in things like vanity sizing, where clothes are labelled more generously, and it’s no wonder it can feel like a guessing game.

I see this all the time with people I support. That number on the label can affect how someone feels about themselves far more than it should. But the reality is… it’s not you, it’s the system.

Your worth isn’t defined by a clothing label. And your confidence shouldn’t depend on a number stitched inside a dress.

When people start focusing on their health, their energy and how they feel in their body, something lovely happens. Clothes start to fit better, but more importantly, confidence grows from within.

And that’s the part that truly matters.

If you’d like to read more about why women’s clothing sizes are so inconsistent, the article below is really interesting:

One thing I try to do each day is focus on the most important tasks first.

I start by writing a simple to-do list and then tackle the highest priority items early in the day while my energy and concentration are at their best. Once those are done, everything else feels far less overwhelming.

It’s such a small habit, but it really helps me stay organised and feel more in control of the day ahead.

What’s the first thing on your list for tomorrow? 💙

Here’s something interesting I was reading recently…

Did you know that constipation can actually affect your gut bacteria and even influence cholesterol levels?

It all comes down to how your body processes cholesterol. If your diet is lacking in certain types of fibre, you can not only end up feeling a bit “blocked up”, but you also miss out on fibres that help bind cholesterol in the gut. That means it’s less likely to be absorbed into your bloodstream.

Foods like oats and legumes contain these helpful fibres, which support both digestion and heart health.

There was even a study involving over 70,000 women that found constipation can be a marker of increased cardiovascular risk. It just shows how connected our digestive health is to the rest of the body.

If things aren’t moving quite as they should, here are a few simple things that can help:

💙 Add prunes or kiwis to your day
Some research suggests eating two kiwis a day for a couple of weeks can really help get things moving.

💙 Consider a fibre supplement like psyllium husk
Mixed with water, it can be a helpful way to increase fibre intake.

💙 Stay hydrated
Water helps soften stools and keeps everything moving through the digestive system.

💙 Gentle daily movement
Even a walk can stimulate the digestive system.

💙 Focus on fibre-rich foods
Whole grains, fruit, vegetables and legumes all support gut health.

💙 Reduce ultra-processed foods
These are often low in fibre and can slow digestion.

Gut health isn’t always the most glamorous topic, but it’s such an important part of overall wellbeing.

Have you found anything that helps your digestion? Share your tips below, it might help someone else too 💙

Mother’s Day can mean many different things to different people.

For some, it’s a day full of love, hugs and family time.
For others, it can bring memories, reflection, or quiet moments of gratitude for those who shaped us.

Today I’m simply feeling thankful.

Thankful for my children who made me a mum, for the laughter we share, and for the lessons that come with motherhood. It’s not always easy, it’s often messy, and it definitely doesn’t come with a manual… but it is one of the greatest privileges of my life.

I’m also thinking of all the incredible mums, step-mums, grandmas, mother figures, and those who carry the love of a mum in their hearts.

However today looks for you, I hope it brings a moment of warmth, appreciation and kindness.

Happy Mother’s Day 💐

Today is World Obesity Day, and I want to take a moment to talk about something that often gets misunderstood.

Obesity is not about laziness.
It’s not about lack of willpower.
And it certainly doesn’t define who you are as a person.

Weight is influenced by so many things… genetics, hormones, environment, stress, health conditions and life circumstances. For many people, especially women, those factors can make the journey even more challenging.

I know this not just as a Consultant, but personally. I’ve lost 7 stone myself, while living with chronic illness and mobility issues. It wasn’t about being perfect. It was about having the right support, structure and understanding around me.

That’s why I’m so passionate about helping others. Because no one should feel judged or alone when they’re trying to improve their health.

World Obesity Day isn’t about shame.
It’s about awareness, compassion and support.

If you’ve been struggling, please know that change is possible, and you don’t have to do it on your own. When you’re ready, I’m here to help 💙

26/02/2026

As many of you know, I sing and play bass in a band. Music has always been part of who I am. But when I was at my largest, standing on stage didn’t feel empowering… it felt awkward.

I felt like all eyes were on me.
I’d question myself.
“Why is she up there?”
“Do I even look like I belong here?”

The spotlight felt heavy.

After losing 7 stone, something shifted. Not just physically, but mentally. Yes, I’m slimmer. Yes, I fit into a size 14 instead of a 22/24. But the biggest change wasn’t the dress size. It was how I carried myself.

Because of my chronic illness, I’m not going to be stage diving or dancing wildly across the stage… and that’s okay. My body has limits.

But my heart dances.

It dances because I know how hard I’ve worked on myself. It dances because I feel more confident standing there. It dances because I’m no longer shrinking myself under the lights.

Real confidence isn’t loud or flashy.
It’s steady.
It’s earned.
It’s knowing you’ve shown up for yourself.

And if I can build that confidence despite illness, flare-ups and mobility challenges, you absolutely can too 💙

If you’re ready to start believing in yourself again, I’m here.
