We had some super brave little feet in for nail surgery recently. 💉 Remember we don’t just treat adults!

The patient had previously had an infection and needed antibiotics, so we decided it needed to be sorted for good. We numbed the toe, removed one side of the big toe nail that had been causing pain and problems for a while, used phenol to prevent any nail from growing back, so this is a long term solution.

The happy face on the dressing made the patient smile (and the sweeties at the end 🍬 ) we understand it can be scary especially for little people but we are here to help and resolve ingrowing toenails ✅

Our favourite part of the job again! …. Nail Surgery 💉 💉

Tonight we performed a partial nail avulsion on a younger patient who had a particularly wide nail and a recurring problem of the nail digging in, antibiotics has helped clear the infection up but the nail needed removing to solve the problem.

We removed one side of the nail and used phenol to prevent the nail growing back. This is a permanent solution for troublesome nails.

If your toenail is ingrowing it will not resolve on its own, let us help before it gets infected and very painful. ✌🏼
