New potions!

I’ve teamed up with Napiers to provide some great products to help prevent injury and to aid your rest and recovery.
These include:

-Magnesium spray
Pure Zechstein Magnesium Chloride and deionised water.

Magnesium is essential within the human body. It is responsible for over 300 different chemical reactions and has many other health benefits. It is ideal for sportspeople, as it can be used as a recovery aid to combat fatigue.
It’s also helps prevent/relieve cramps and restless legs.

-Magnesium muscle and sleep cream
Muscles need magnesium to function properly. This cream can be applied topically for maximum benefit. Studies have also shown that magnesium application can improve both sleep quality and duration. This all natural cream delivers 500mg of magnesium chloride per 5ml usage (providing 60mg elemental magnesium).
Use as a body moisturiser for a sleep routine or a comforting muscle massage cream. Excellent as a post work out cream for recovery.
Includes lavender and ylang ylang essential oils to help you drift off peacefully.
This cream is safe to use alongside magnesium supplementation.

-Arica plus emergency skin cream
This cream contains Arnica, Witch Hazel and Comfrey and is a cooling, soothing skin cream.
* Excellent skin cream for active people
* Can also be used as a joint or muscle rub
It helps to maintain the even colour and appearance of healthy skin during the rough and tumble, and ups and downs, of everyday life.

Vitamin D3/K2 spray
Deficiency of Vitamin D is highly prevalent amongst the UK population, and the NHS recommends taking a supplement of at least 400iu per day.

Vitamin D is obtained naturally from sunlight and some food. We get the majority of our intake from sunlight on our skin.

This formulation is simply sprayed once a day directly onto the tongue,

One spray provides 1000IU of Vitamin D, 500% of the recommended intake plus the optimal amount of Vitamin K2.

It’s great to start the new year with an award! I’m really honoured to have been named Best Sports and Remedial Massage Therapist in North Yorkshire by Global Health and Pharma magazine’s ‘Global Excellence Awards’

Their award programs aim to showcase cutting-edge achievements and innovative leaders within the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors.

Factors affecting this award were my holistic approach to identifying, treating and preventing injuries using biomechanical assessment and a wide range of therapy methods and strengthening techniques.

My client base is wide and varied. Everyone is as important as the next. Clients vary from World Cup winning athletes to individuals suffering from sprains strains and a multitude of common injuries.

I explain what is causing the particular injury or condition and my reasoning behind using a particular approach or technique. In doing so, clients gain a greater understanding of their issues and feel more in control of their recovery.

I have a sponsorship scheme to help young athletes perform to their very best on the international stage whilst having to manage their training load, transport and accommodation expenses. By providing therapy support I remove part of that burden and ensure that these individuals can perform to their maximum potential.

As a therapist I have also provided significant medical based support for Tend, which manufactures high quality focal vibration devices. I have been using Tend devices for over two years now and have seen some incredible results. The company has been great to work with and are very open to feedback and suggestions. Our relationship has grown and I now provide guidance and support from a therapists perspective. I have also helped test and develop some of their new devices. It has been great being at the cutting edge of technology whilst just doing my job!

I have never been one to stand still and have developed good relationships with a number of suppliers of therapist tools, creams, sprays and other sporting products. What will be the next big thing?

Just reflecting on a busy couple of days down at the Therapy Expo with .
We were pretty much non-stop the whole time thanks to a steady flow of new and returning customers and sold out half way through day two.
It’s always a privilege to explain how the Tend devices work to a wide range of healthcare professionals. It was a real pleasure to be working alongside Will, Annelize, Rich and Paul.

TEND ON TOUR! I have taken this Tend focus massage device with me to Finland and four trips to Spain totalling more than 7000 miles. I have carried it in my backpack for more than 700 miles on the Coast to Coast and the 3x Caminos de Santiago (Camino Frances, Camino Primitivo and Camino Fisterra). It has been invaluable in dealing with those niggles and strains that occur on long distance walks and is worth carrying the extra bit of weight; although at 92g it’s not such a hardship. I am pretty certain that apart from shipping, this is the most travelled Tend device in the world - unless you know differently!

Hi everyone, just a quick email to let you know that the clinic will be closed from 24th August to 23rd September 2024 as we embark on a new adventure, walking the Camino Primitivo route in Northern Spain,

Well it’s back in the clinic after Val and I completed the Wainwright’s Coast to Coast. 209 miles, 26650 feet of climb, 346,000 steps. We completed the route over 17 days, self supported with full packs. We had the full experience with a mixture of wild camping, camping, pods, B&B and pub accommodation. All well researched and planned by Val. We met some lovely people along the way, everyone doing the walk in their own way. We were blessed with good weather and the waterproofs came out just a couple of times. Arrived in RHB in glorious sunshine ☀️
Next trip- the Camino Primitivo in Spain.

At Tim Done Clinics, we are proud to support local athletes; Jack and Emily Moran, who represent England at Karate. They compete at European and World Championship events and recently attained Gold medals in their respective categories at the British karate championships.
This level of competition involves a great deal of commitment as well as travel and accommodation which has to be financed by the family and other sponsors.
Tim has been happy to support Jack and Emily with the appropriate sports treatment and advice to ensure they arrive at each competition at their very best level of fitness.

Their most recent achievements include:
Jack -🥇 Senior 60kg British Champion
Emily -🥇 Girl Cadet 54kg British Champion and team gold medal

We wish them luck as they compete in the European Youth League in A Coruña, Spain 🇪🇸 next week.

We would also like to congratulate Stella Osborne and Harvey Young who also train at Quest Karate club with sensei Frank Pullano, on their respective medals at the British championships.

Stella received a gold medal 🥇 in the +61kg category plus team gold and Harvey received a bronze medal 🥉 in the -25kg category.
Stella will be competing with Jack and Emily in Spain.
