About Me;

Hi...I'm James Nicholl;

I'm very passionate when it comes to Fitness and Food and the effects on your mental health. As I've got older I've noticed that mental health is just as important as ever and there are so many ways we can positively impact this.

(If this is something that you struggle with hit me up and we will chat)

Anyway besides that little more about me. I loooove food, if you asked my family they'll all tell you I spent my childhood with my face in the fridge 😂 food has become a passion for me! (Not to cook because I am a terrible cook) but to eat and enjoy

I've always been sporty and athletic, rugby was my main hobby growing up for 16 years..my dad took me to my first training session because I had too much energy as a kid 😂 now I like to play squash with my best mate and go to the gym. Whilst that's good for physical health I also like hiking and walking up peaks for my mental health. The fresh air and quality time with friends and family are great to escape reality for a while!

I'm basing my business on a different approach, I want to help people make the changes to their lifestyle to encourage a more positive environment for themselves and their mental health. Through food, fitness and lifestyle changes.

Mental Health has never been more important. With science and technology expanding continuously so does our knowledge on how to feel more positive about ourselves. And it can't be any easier!

Do something that's going to have a positive impact on your physical, mental and spiritual health.

Physical Health:

Resistance Training
Endurance Training
Physical Hobbies and Interests
Hiking
Walking

Mental Health:

Eat clean foods
Read a book
Spend time in nature
Grounding

Spiritual Health:

Meditate
Grounding
Go outdoors

Spiritual and mental are very similar as both have positive impacts on both areas

These are just a few examples you can do daily to help lead a more positive lifestyle

A reduction in symptoms such as depression and anxiety promoting a stronger mental health and an increase positive approach

Exposure to cold water can stimulate the production of endorphins and norepinephrine, chemicals in the brain that help improve mood and reduce stress levels

Enhance the body's resilience to stress by stimulating the sympathetic nervous system and increasing the levels of beta-endorphin and noradrenaline overall improving stress response

The shock of cold water can increase alertness and increase heart rate and blood flow that result from cold water exposure which lead to improved concentration and cognitive function.

Studies have even shown this to improve sleep aswell promoting yet another benefit for your mental health

If you are wanting to reap the benefits of cold water therapy start of slow in the shower or bath, try stay in cold water for 1 minute and increase it to 2 minutes a day once your body has adapted to the new routine
