Dr Helen Gowling and Dr Becky Hull proudly welcome you to The Divergent Space.

The Divergent Space Ltd is providing a unique, inclusive service tailored specifically to your needs as an individual. Being neurodivergent ourselves, we have become increasingly frustrated with the deficit-based model of neurodevelopmental conditions and this has been what has sparked our passion for working from a neurodiversity affirmative standpoint.

🌟 Sensory Regulation & You: A Neuro-Affirming Exploration (Online Webinar)
🗓️ Tuesday 26th August, 6.30pm – 8.00pm

We are excited to invite you to an online session dedicated to understanding sensory regulation, what it is, why it matters, and how we can support ourselves (and each other) in ways that feel safe, empowering, and accessible.

Whether you experience sensory overwhelm, seek out specific inputs to feel grounded, or simply want language to better describe your inner world, this webinar is designed with you in mind. We’ll explore sensory processing through a neurodivergent lens—recognising it not as a problem to be fixed, but as a valid and nuanced part of your identity and wellbeing.

Over the 90-minute session, we’ll look at:
☑What sensory regulation actually means and why it's not one-size-fits-all
☑How sensory needs connect to emotions, safety, and daily routines
☑Real-world strategies: ways to support your own regulation in work, relationships, and transitions
☑How sensory regulation links to interoception and self-trust

The space will be collaborative, non-judgmental, and rooted in neuro-affirming principles. There’s no expectation to share unless you want to by offering written comments and questions, you're welcome to attend in whatever way works best for you (camera on or off, with snacks, stimming, pacing, or from under a weighted blanket!).
For tickets please visit our Eventbrite page: https://tinyurl.com/Sensory-Webinar
Cost: £20, max places 30 people

A fantastic and really important resource!

A fantastic and really important resource!

April is PMDD (Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder) Awareness Month, and we’re excited to share a new addition to our resource library about PMDD and its impact on autistic young people. This includes a webinar recording which brings together research, lived experience, and practical strategies.

Although this is a topic that is still often widely under-recognised, we believe that the connection between PMDD and autism is too important to ignore. Given the impact that struggling with PMDD can have on mental health, it feels vital that we start talking about this openly, compassionately, and without stigma.

Whether you're a parent or professional, we hope this is a step towards helping people feel more informed, validated, and equipped to advocate for the support that’s so often missing.
