The New Life Centre is a ground breaking private addiction and mental health treatment facility located in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales on the stunning 3,000 acre Broughton Hall Estate.
At the heart of the New Life Centre's service is a unique treatment originally designed for alcohol and drug misuse. For over 20 years our medical team delivered abstinence based care for over 12,000 people with some of the best long term outcomes found anywhere. 67% of our patients remained relapse free 12 months post discharge which is nearly 10 times better than the national average.
Now an independent family run business, the NLC is celebrating its first anniversary. We continue to deliver our dual diagnosis service which treats both our patients addiction and mental health comorbidities with equal importance. In recognition of our skilled approach towards mental health treatment, the Care Quality Commission (CQC) has granted us permission to treat patients suffering purely from poor mental health. As a result, we are now taking on sufferers of anxiety, depression, PTSD amongst other conditions, many of which are the result of the pandemic and the cost of living crisis.
Our treatment model for addiction and mental health is quite simple. We are stage 1 of recovery and improved mental health. Our patients come to us in need of consultant psychiatry led diagnosis, detox (for addiction), and one to one care for a period of 2-4 weeks (up to 6 weeks for complex mental health). We restore our patients back to a stable and abstinent condition. Their clarity of thought allows them to undertake meaningful talking therapies once back home with our world class continuation of care partners. Our relapse prevention programme is robust and proven.
All of this is delivered in a beautifully restored home from home farmhouse with private en suite rooms with stunning views.
