I embarked into self-employment at 18, and now, as I celebrate turning 56 this month, that marks an incredible 38-year journey! 🚀
I’ve experienced incredible highs that brought me joy, as well as lows that challenged my strength. Each moment has taught me valuable lessons about resilience and growth.
Like most business owners one of the biggest struggles is trying to please everyone. I’ve realised that no matter how much you try, you just can’t make everyone happy, not everyone will understand… and that’s ok 😊 but chasing that approval can be draining.
Throughout my journey, I’ve learned that without looking after my own health, I have nothing. Prioritising my well-being is essential, not just for me but for my family, friends and especially my two boys, who are my greatest priority. Raising them while juggling the demands of entrepreneurship has had its challenges, but they have motivated me to keep pushing forward.
Every victory, no matter how small, and every setback has shaped my journey.
If you’re on a similar path, remember to embrace every twist and turn and focus on what truly matters!
What has your journey taught you about balancing personal aspirations, family, and the need for approval?
