Practice Health Volunteers - Skipton Practice Health Volunteers work with Fisher Medical Centre to help meet the health and wellbeing need

Practice Health Champions are volunteers who work in partnership with the Fisher Medical Centre staff to:
Develop and deliver a range of activities and events
To provide social support for patients with a range of health needs. Find new ways to meet the needs of patients and the wider community. To empower patients to look after them selves and make health their number one priority. Activities include:
>Arts, Crafts and Games group
�Walking for Health Group
�Singing for Fun Group
�Book reading club
�Reminiscence Films Group
�Peer Support Talks
�Kite Flying group
�Coffee Mornings
�Fundraising events
�Mandala Courses

GREAT NEWS for anyone looking for companionship, an afternoon of fun and laughter and free refreshments and Fun and Games
Our Memory Lane social group has just reopened at Fisher Medical Centre at Millfields, Coach Street, Skipton.
We have two meetings before Christmas, on Thursday afternoons from 1:30pm to 3:30pm, 2nd December and 16th December. We intend to publish dates for 2022 shortly. For more details call Audrey on 01756 794136 or Pauline Jackson on 01756 799448.

No need to book, just turn up, we will get a very warm welcome.

The Practice Health Volunteers support and work closely with PeerTalk, the peer support group for those suffering from depression, anxiety and related conditions ,which serves Skipton, Ilkley, Settle and the Craven area.
The PeerTalk group has continue to meet weekly throughout the Lockdown period, at Craven District offices in Skipton.
On Monday 28th June we moved back to our original meeting location at The Hub in Skipton Town Hall, High Street, Skipton, please see the attached 'flier' for more information. We meet every Monday evening at 7.30pm, there is no need to book and it's free.
We would welcome referrals from all Health Professionals, family and friends of sufferers.

The Practice Health Champions support and work closely with PeerTalk, the peer support group for those suffering Depression, anxiety and related conditions, which serves Skipton, Ilkley, Settle and the Craven area.

The PeerTalk group has been meeting weekly as a support group, throughout the Lockdown period, at Craven District Council Offices in Skipton.
