Spring often brings the feeling that we should start fresh or change everything at once, but a reset doesn’t have to be a huge overhaul. Sometimes, especially when winter motivation is low, it’s better to start small.

That could look as simple as:

🌱 Adjusting one habit
🌱 Clearing one small thing
🌱 Saying no to things that don’t light you up
🌱 Booking the support you’ve been putting off

You don’t have to start from scratch to move forward. Small shifts still count, and often they’re the ones that stick better long-term.

One of the most common things people say is that they find it hard to relax, even when they finally get the chance.

Not because they don’t want to, but because they’re so used to being “on”. ⚡

🧠 Constant thinking.
🏃‍♀️ Constantly doing.
📋 Constant background stress.

Over time, the body forgets what proper rest feels like.

It’s not always obvious when your body needs a pause. Sometimes the signs are subtle:

😴 You’re more tired than usual
⚡ You feel wired but exhausted
🤷‍♀️ Your shoulders are always tense
🧠 You can’t fully relax, even when you try

These are all signs your system has been in “go mode” for a bit too long.

Noticing early makes it easier to support yourself before it builds.

One of the things I hear most often at the start of a session is:

“I didn’t realise how tense I was until I lay down.”

A lot of people are carrying:

👉 tight shoulders
👉 sore lower backs
👉 jaw tension
👉 stress sitting in the stomach

Often it builds up slowly, so it becomes the new normal.

Taking time to release some of that tension can make a real difference to sleep, comfort, and overall energy levels.

Not all tension comes from physical strain.

A lot of it comes from holding things in your head:

🔸remembering everything
🔸planning ahead
🔸worrying quietly
🔸being the one who keeps things together

That constant background load can show up in the body without you even noticing.

It’s not always about what you’re doing physically - sometimes it’s just how much you’re carrying mentally.

They book when:

🔸Sleep is disrupted
🔸Tension won’t shift
🔸Stress starts affecting daily life
🔸They realise they’ve been putting themselves last for a while
