We are having a wonderful day over at Craven Nursing Home today as we host Home Managers and Deputy Managers from across the entire Spellman Care group for our latest managers meeting 🤝

There is a real buzz of energy in the room while our leadership teams come together to dive into the latest CQC Guideline updates and discuss recent changes in employment law. Most excitingly, we are focusing on several new projects we have in the pipeline, and we truly cannot wait to share these developments with you all very soon 📝

One of the best parts of being a small, family-run group is the ability to bring our homes together for regular collaboration like this. It is also a lovely opportunity for everyone to have a look around Craven Nursing Home and enjoy those stunning, peaceful views over the canal at the back of the home 🦆🌿

Looking back on a wonderful Friday at Craven Nursing Home! 🐾

We are still smiling after a very special visit from Buddy the PAT dog. It was a joy to see so many of our residents’ faces light up as Buddy made his rounds for plenty of fuss and attention. There is something truly calming about the presence of a four-legged friend, and Buddy certainly made everyone feel very loved 🐕

These visits are a highlight of life here in the home, offering a lovely way for residents to relax and enjoy some gentle companionship. We pride ourselves on creating these heartwarming moments that make our community feel so vibrant and full of life. A massive thank you to Buddy for being such a star and bringing so much happiness to our home🦴✨

It’s been an action-packed few days for everyone at Craven Nursing Home, with plenty of sunshine and song!

On Tuesday, we were treated to an extra minibus trip, and what a fantastic day out it was. We headed over to East Riddlesden Hall and Kilnsey Trout Farm, enjoying the beautiful scenery and fresh air 🚐 The highlight of the trip had to be the amazing RAF plane we spotted flying right through the Dales—it was a spectacular sight that definitely got everyone talking! ✈️

The excitement continued yesterday as we welcomed the wonderful Emma James for a session of fantastic music. There’s nothing like a good singalong to brighten the afternoon, and Emma’s performance certainly had us all in high spirits 🎤🎶

It is lovely to see so many smiles and a real buzz around the home this week!

What a joy it has been at Craven Nursing Home lately, with so many smiling faces and plenty of laughter! 🌟

We’ve had a fantastic time staying active with "Moov with Oona," where our residents got stuck into some energetic and fun exercises. It is always a highlight to see everyone coming together, moving to the music, and enjoying each other's company. 💃✨

The fun didn’t stop there, as we also enjoyed some very competitive rounds of Bingo! 🎟️ It’s a firm favourite here, and the atmosphere was brilliant as everyone waited for those final numbers to be called. It is wonderful to see our residents engaging in the activities they love and making the most of every social occasion. 🎊🙌

What a fantastic day we all had yesterday! It was such a pleasure for everyone at Craven Nursing Home and Steeton Court to spend a second day in a row together as part of our Residents Network 🤝✨

Our network is all about supporting residents from across our four homes to meet and socialise, and seeing these friendships grow across the group is truly wonderful. The atmosphere was buzzing yesterday as we enjoyed a brilliant afternoon of fun at Craven, featuring the ever-entertaining Steve “Sparkly” Starkie and a fantastic quiz hosted by Modern Mobility 🎤🧠

There was plenty of laughter and friendly competition to go around, making it a memorable day for everyone involved. We love being able to bring our communities together like this and are already looking forward to our next get-together! ☕🍰

It was a wild and wonderful afternoon here at Craven Nursing Home as we welcomed the team from Walk on the Wild Side for a very special visit! 🐾

We had a fantastic time getting up close and personal with some fascinating creatures. From scaly friends to creepy-crawlies, our residents were incredibly brave and curious, enjoying the chance to learn all about these amazing animals and even hold a few of them.

There was so much laughter and shared fascination throughout the lounge as we chatted about the different textures and habits of our visitors. It was a brilliant sensory experience that really sparked some great conversations and created some wonderful new memories for everyone involved. 🕷️🐍🐢
