Did you spot the simply amazing afternoon we had on Wednesday? 🥤

Everyone loved the homemade smoothies our residents enjoyed, but the fun actually started much earlier in the day! Here is a quick look back at our morning prep, where residents had a fantastic time slicing and blending their favourite fruits to create these refreshing treats. 🍓🍍

It was wonderful to see everyone working together to craft something delicious to share with their friends later in the afternoon. What a healthy and vibrant start to the day! ✨

What a beautiful afternoon we have had here at Craven Nursing Home! ☀️

The sun was shining so brightly that our fantastic team decided to think on their feet, quickly moving our entertainment outdoors to make the most of the weather. It was the perfect setting for a wonderful performance by Craig Carlisle, and seeing everyone enjoying the fresh air was truly lovely. It is hard to believe we are only 71 days into 2026 when it feels this much like summer already! We are all keeping our fingers crossed that these clear blue skies are here to stay. 🌤️

Craig treated us to a brilliant variety of hits, ranging from the King of Rock 'n' Roll, Elvis, to the timeless tunes of The Beatles. A particularly heart-warming moment occurred when one of our ladies took the lyrics to heart, reaching out to hold Craig’s hand while he sang "I Want to Hold Your Hand." It was a touching highlight that brought a smile to everyone's face. 🎶

Soaking up a bit of gentle sunlight is so important for our residents, as it provides a natural boost of Vitamin D and can really lift spirits. To make the most of the impromptu garden party, everyone sipped on refreshing smoothies and fruity juices (made during this morning's activity), which was a delicious way to mark Nutrition and Hydration Week while staying cool and hydrated. 🥤

The music was certainly infectious, with many residents tapping their toes and some even getting up for a dance! It has been a joyful, impromptu treat for everyone involved! 💃

It has been a wonderful few days here at Craven Nursing Home, with our residents diving into a variety of fun-filled activities! 🌸

From the delicate art of flower arranging to some very competitive rounds of dominoes, there really has been something for everyone to enjoy. It is always a joy to see such a vibrant atmosphere throughout the home as everyone gets involved in their favourite pastimes. 🎲

We are already looking forward to what the rest of the week has in store! ✨

Our dedicated teams from Craven Nursing Home and Springbank Care Home are spending a productive afternoon expanding their expertise. 🌟

We are currently taking part in a fantastic and deeply informative training session focused on Learning Disabilities and Autism. 🧠✨

Investing in specialist knowledge allows us to continue providing the highest standard of person-centred care. It is wonderful to see both teams coming together to share insights and strengthen our support for every individual we serve. 🤝💙

It has been a heartwarming few days here at Craven Nursing Home, filled with thoughtful gifts, creative workshops, and plenty of friendly competition!

We started our Friday with a wonderful gesture from one of our amazing relatives. They kindly brought in beautiful double-heart tokens to be gifted to our residents for Mothering Sunday. These are such a lovely way to ensure everyone feels included, whether they are sharing them with a family member as a token of love or keeping them close as a reminder that they are thought of 💞.

Our Saturday was full of action and creativity. On Heron, we kicked things off with some high-energy games of bowling and ring toss—always a huge hit with the group! Meanwhile, the ladies on Swan spent a lovely afternoon crafting beautiful chocolate bouquets, which looked almost too good to eat 🍫 bouquet.

The celebrations continued yesterday as we marked a very special milestone. One of our residents was full of joy celebrating his 92nd birthday, starting his big day with a lovely trip out for a brew ☕️.

We also hosted a fantastic candle-making workshop with a creative twist! Instead of throwing away any chipped teacups, we repurposed them into beautiful, unique candles. It was a wonderful way to breathe new life into something old. To wrap up the day, we got the competitive spirits going again with a session at Matrix Bowling, where everyone was aiming for that elusive strike! 🎳

🎶 Mother’s Day Music with April Elizabeth

We are delighted to invite all our residents, relatives, and their families to join us for a wonderful afternoon of live music to celebrate Mother’s Day.

We’ll be joined by the talented April Elizabeth, who will be performing a beautiful selection of songs to make the day truly special. It’s a fantastic opportunity for families to come together, enjoy some refreshments, and share a lovely afternoon in the heart of our home.

The music will begin from 2.30pm tomorrow (15th March) and we warmly welcome all residents and their families to attend.

We can’t wait to see you all there for a memorable afternoon of music and celebration! 🌸

It has been a wonderful week of music and creativity here at Craven Nursing Home!

Tuesday was filled with rhythm and smiles as we enjoyed a fantastic live performance by Johnny Gowcho. It was a brilliant afternoon that had everyone tapping their feet and singing along! 🎤🎶

Wednesday kept the energy high with a lively Moov session with Oona, followed by a very popular game of Bingo. There is nothing like a bit of friendly competition to get the lounge buzzing! 🔢

Yesterday was all about relaxation and preparation for the weekend. We enjoyed a lovely morning of pampering in the salon, followed by an afternoon of crafting beautiful Mother’s Day cards. We wanted to make sure everything was ready in time for Mothering Sunday! 💅🏻🌸

We have had a wonderful couple of days of celebrations and outings here at Craven Nursing Home! 🎈

On Sunday morning, we were busy decorating the home for an early birthday party. We are celebrating a very special 90th birthday which takes place this Tuesday, so we wanted to make sure everything looked perfect. While we were getting ready, our residents were also treated to a quick visit from Sox the dog, who popped in to say hello and brighten everyone’s morning. 🐾

Yesterday, we started the day with a fantastic trip to Ilkley Cinema to watch Elvis. Our residents thoroughly enjoyed the film, singing along to all the hits and sharing the many fond memories the music brought back. 🍿🎶

The excitement continued into the afternoon with a lovely ride out up to Haworth. Our residents always enjoy heading out to take in the beautiful local scenery, and it was the perfect way to spend the afternoon together. 🚐⛰️
