Huge high-five and a welcome to everyone who joined the start of my beginner’s yoga journey last night!
We took our first gentle steps to understand what YOGA is, explored the importance & foundations of the breath awareness, learned a few key poses and moved kindly & gently ( with full acceptance, no judgments).
Many arrived last night unsure if yoga was ‘for them. I know the first day of anything new can feel a little intimidating, but every single person showed up with an open mind, and that’s the most important thing! Showing up and commitment is always the hardest part. So proud of them all!

If you have ever thought, I am not flexible enough for yoga, just remember: the practice meets you where you are.
No expectations.
It is not a performance stage. You come as you are !
Last nights session was a beautiful reminder of that.

We begin again next week, one gentle step at a time.
I look forward to continuing this gentle unfolding over the next few weeks.

If you are interested in my next Beginners course, please get in touch. I will consider the dates once some interest received . Thank you

The autumn colors are gradually setting in, and we’re officially in the transition zone, heading toward the deeper rest of winter (only 8 weeks till Christmas eeeekk) .
While nature is inviting us to slow down, this time of year often does the exact opposite to our schedules!

Between the approaching holidays, the darker evenings, and the general feeling of needing to „do it all” before the year ends, life can quickly become hectic, hurried, and very draining.

This is your gentle reminder: You can’t pour from an empty cup. Self-care isn’t a luxury in this busy season; it’s essential medicine.

You might find yourself running on fumes, pushing through the fatigue, and telling yourself you’ll rest „later.” But trying to maintain summer energy in a slowing /dark season is a recipe for burnout.
How can yoga help to nourish the nervous system. In classes,
We focus on nourishing movement blended with deep, quiet holds. This helps to release physical tension while calming the mind.
Through mindful or controlled breathing, we help to activate the parasympathetic nervous system (our „rest and digest” mode) to switch off the constant stress response.
By dedicating time to your mat, you root down, find stability, and create an inner sense of calm that you carry with you throughout the week.

Whether it’s in my weekly yoga class or at an upcoming event, my aim is simple: to help you intentionally pause, restore your energy, and nourish your nervous system so you can greet the rest of the year with resilience.

Come rest, reconnect, and refill your cup with me this November.

Life’s demanding. Your body’s tight. Your mind’s racing.
Here is your invitation to pause, to melt, to simply be.

This week’s classes are an offering into quiet — a chance to collectively soften the edges and release the grip and return to the rhythm of the calm within.

We’ll combine Yin and Restorative Yoga to ease deep-held tension, with calming Pranayama to soften the mind and settle the nervous system+ a little head and face self massage for a bit of self pampering ☺️💆💆‍♀️

Yin is a beautiful style of yoga that works deep into the fascia(connective tissue, which is everything that supports your muscles, including your bones). Class is mainly floor based with holding poses for longer periods of time. The focus is on breath, body & mind awareness, letting the body slowly release tension and mind to release stress.

It’s a practice suitable for all levels, so come as you are and discover the world of inner peace.

What a wonderful week of yoga🙏💜🧘‍♀️🧘🙏💜
Over the last 6 weeks we have been exploring not only the shoulderstand/ sarvangasana, its modifications, benefits and contributions, but also progressive Nadi Shodhana pranayama. A powerful technique helping to calm the busy mind & entire nervous system and balance the body’s energy.

Our breath is a powerful instrument for achieving inner peace, mental clarity, and overall well-being.
If you would like to learn more or experience the benefits, come and join us for the final week before the half term break for a relaxing and yin/restorative class.

We will be focusing on calming the chitta Vrittis - fluctuations of the mind and nourishing the body on a deeper level to ease deeply held tension, unleash stagnant or blocked energy and cultivate peacefulness, acceptance and gratitude.

Everyone welcome: whether you have never done yoga, or you are a sports person or just love Yin yoga - come along 💜

This term we are exploring the shoulder stand known as ( Salamba) Sarvangasana and often called the “queen of asanas”.

There is a lot of fear of going upside down so I just thought I will remind everyone that it is not about chasing a picture perfect inversion.
*We are exploring a new relationship with gravity.
*Shoulder stand isn’t about how vertical we are in the posture.
*There is no pressure to lift high -the benefits begin even with gentle supportive inversion.
*The intention is to feel balanced, supported, calm and inwardly focused and deeply rooted in the breath (not strained).
*I feel the props are non-negotiable to make shoulderstand safe, comfortable and accessible to all.

Learning shoulder stand is a process, a journey, it takes time and the preparation of the, neck, spine, shoulders and hamstrings are necessary.

I offer a variety of modifications starting with viparita Karani-legs up the wall, supported bridge pose, half shoulder stand, all with various props.

This posture offers us so much more than physical inversion. It’s an invitation to turn inward to see ourselves in the world from a new perspective and to surrender into stillness and the present moment.
When life feels overwhelming or stagnant, the act of inverting-even gently-can bring mental clarity and renewal, inviting a new viewpoint.
Emotionally, inversions ask us to trust, to lean into the unknown.

*There is no need to do the full posture to experience the physical, emotional and energetic benefits of this inversion and its variations. Come and join to explore with us.

What is your relationship with Shoulderstand? Do you practice it often ? Share below ⬇️
