As part of ongoing efforts to open up conversations around dying, death and bereavement, grief education is being introduced into the Relationships, S*x and Health Education (RSHE) curriculum in England from September 2026.

It’s a positive step towards helping young people better understand and navigate feelings around loss, change and bereavement.

By building awareness from an early age, we can help normalise these discussions, reduce stigma, and give future generations the confidence to express and manage their emotions.

, it’s a reminder that talking about grief, at any age, can make a real difference.

Aston Villa football club will have their annual Celebration of Life event at Villa Park on Wednesday 3rd June from 6pm to 8pm 💜

The Celebration of Life is an event held by the Aston Villa Foundation to remember Aston Villa supporters who have passed away in the past year.

Led by Club Chaplain Reverend Jon Grant, this year’s event will include readings, poems and songs, with a short video and a balloon release by the William McGregor statue.

For those who saw Eastenders tonignt, it may be a soap but tonights episode touched a lot of people.

Our Funeral Service Specialist Emma Galvin went through something very similar with her dad nearly 7 years ago and she is not ashamed to say the episode affected her and brought back a lot of sad memories.

We don't just 'do a job', our staff have experienced loss so we understand how painful grief can be and feel honoured and proud for all the families we help at one of the worst and most difficult times of their lives.

Funeral director Gary Minott and Funeral service specialist Emma Galvin had the joy of taking Easter eggs to Ash Lodge Care Home and Bearwood Nursing Home before Easter.
