Working in a dementia care home takes patience, compassion, and dedication every single day—and we couldn’t be prouder of the care our staff provide to our residents.

To say a small “thank you,” we treated our team to some well-deserved goodies, including cookies 🍪 and doughnuts 🍩—a sweet way to recognise the amazing work they do!

With the help of our brand new conversation cards, carefully constructed, categorised and researched by the activities team, two of our lovely residents Josie & Barb began sharing stories—memories filled with laughter, love, and life experiences that deserve to be heard and cherished.

In dementia care, it’s these moments of connection that matter most. Taking the time to ask, listen, and truly engage helps keep identity and voice alive. The cards create prompts to unlock valued memories and share glimpses of who they are.

We turned up the relaxation today with our fabulous Sunday pamper session! From gentle nail trims and tidy-ups to choosing the perfect pop of colour, our residents were treated to a little extra sparkle 💖🌈

There were smiles, chats, and plenty of “ooh, I love that shade!” moments – because feeling good never goes out of style 💃

It’s amazing how something as simple as a mini manicure can lift spirits, encourage connection, and add a splash of joy to the day 🌸

Today we made the most of the beautiful weather by spending time outdoors with our wonderful residents, their families, and some uplifting music in the background 🎶💛

Moments like these are more than just enjoyable—they’re incredibly important. While everyone relaxed and connected, our residents also enjoyed small, fresh fruit salads 🍇🍊

These little bowls of goodness help support:
💧 Hydration – with juicy fruits that naturally boost fluid intake
🍓 Nutrition – packed with essential vitamins to support overall health
😊 Wellbeing – easy-to-eat, colourful, and familiar foods that encourage independence and enjoyment

There’s something truly special about putting pen to paper 💌

Today, our wonderful residents have been busy writing heartfelt pen pal letters to our sister home as part of our Prime Life community. From sharing memories and stories to exchanging a few laughs, these letters are the beginning of new friendships that go beyond walls and miles.

Moments like these remind us that connection has no age limit. We can’t wait to see these friendships blossom and the joy they’ll bring to everyone involved 💛
