Not just the sadness… but how it quietly affects your ability to keep up with life.

Forgetting things you were sure you did.
Missing letters or deadlines.
Letting “small” tasks build into big problems.
Feeling like everything is slipping through your fingers.

It doesn’t mean you’re lazy.
It doesn’t mean you don’t care.
Sometimes it just means your mind is overwhelmed.

I’ve been feeling this a lot lately, and it’s made me realise how many people might be silently struggling in the same way.

So I want to open this up ⬇️

Today isn’t about big changes or unrealistic goals… it’s about small, intentional moments 🤍

A deep breath before reacting
A cup of tea while it’s still warm
A cuddle that lasts a little longer
Choosing peace over pressure

Wherever you’re at right now is enough. You don’t need to rush your healing, your growth, or your journey.

This month, we’re focusing on coming home to ourselves — slowly, softly, and without judgement 🌙

Me and my little boy are taking a proper rest day no pressure, no rushing, just being together and taking care of ourselves.

Nourishing our bodies with a simple breakfast — sausage, hash browns, tomatoes, and a warm glass of peppermint tea. Nothing fancy, just comforting, filling, and exactly what we need.

Rest isn’t lazy.
It’s necessary.
It’s how we reset and keep going.

Today is for cuddles, quiet moments, and giving ourselves permission to just be 🤍

Life moves so fast and we spend so much time looking after everyone else.

Before the noise, before the pressure, there was nature and our bodies still respond to it.

Somewhere along the way, we were taught to rush, to measure our worth by productivity, to keep up with a system that was never built for our nervous systems.

But here’s the truth: we don’t have to live in the rat race to be worthy. We don’t have to earn rest. We don’t have to force healing.

Sometimes, healing begins by slowing down, stepping outside, and remembering what it feels like to be human again.

Nature reminds us how to return 🌿🌊

At Little Do We Know Wellness, we talk a lot about rest but grief teaches it in a way nothing else can.

Weekends can hit heavy when you’re grieving.
The routine drops away. The distractions quieten. And suddenly your body feels paralysed like even the bare minimum is too much.

That isn’t weakness. That’s a nervous system in survival mode.

Some days, wellness doesn’t look like getting dressed, being social, or ticking boxes.
It looks like staying still. Drinking water. Breathing. Letting your body feel safe enough to exist.

If this weekend you feel depleted, stuck, or like you’re “doing nothing” you’re not failing.
Your body is processing loss in the only way it knows how.

At Little Do We Know Wellness, we believe rest is not something you earn.
It’s something you need especially in grief.
