Over the course of 27 years as an ENT surgeon, I’ve performed more than 6,500 non-surgical rhinoplasties.
That volume doesn’t just build technical skill, it builds perspective.
You begin to understand that anatomy is never identical. That small variations matter. That tissue behaves differently from one patient to the next. And that assumptions are often where mistakes begin.
Experience also teaches restraint.
The longer you practise, the more you realise that conservative treatment is often the safest treatment, and that knowing when not to intervene is just as important as knowing how.
Judgement is not something you can shortcut. It’s developed through repetition, reflection, and respect for anatomy.
That perspective continues to shape how I practise and how I teach.
