Meet Alistair, he has been a target member for over 3 years. He showed up every week, used the support of the group and went home making the changes with his wife Debbie who is also at her target chosen weight.

They showed up every week, that determination to break habits and as they lost weight they introduced exercise. They are both now huge advocates of Slimming World and I’m so proud.

👋 Hi everyone – let’s have a little “Meet the Consultant” moment!
I’m Laura
✨ I’ve been a Slimming World Consultant since June 2021 where we had to social distance
✨ This photo? Snapped at my main job which is Regional Account Manager for aparthotel Birmingham so very different to slimmingworld
At home, I’ve got:
💙A husband we got married May this year, he’s a great cook, very supportive and love embracing Indian culture with his family.
A few fun facts about me:
Favourite food? A good steak 🥩 And wine red white or a glass of fizz🥂
🌿 Biggest dislike? Olives I like most things but just can’t get into them
💦 Body Magic I love: Walking nothing too strenuous and take in where I am.

Meet Janis Leighton, one of my many fabulous members who has lost 2.5 stone and yesterday achieving her chosen target weight.

She looks fab doesn’t she?

During her weightloss she has had both knees replaced and losing 1 stone in weight is 4 stone in pressure on her knees so this weightloss aided her recovery. She now regularly walks and has healthy eating habits to maintain this weightloss.

Thank you to all the local shops that have been so kind in letting me put up my posters in the area, to support people with their weightloss in the local area.

Also over 1000 leaflets I delivered to local houses 🏡 with another 2000 leaflets being delivered by my members and myself in the next week.

I will also be going round the shops with slimming world magazines incase your customers maybe interested while they wait.

These flyers this time do address weightloss drugs as we want to support people on them to go on having healthy habits to keep the weightloss off long term.

I’m still on my mission! I won’t give up and weightloss have never been spoken about as much as it has been lately. With 60% of the UK population overweight and by 2030 this is anticipated to increase to 76% we have got to help people in the community.

Yes that’s right, I want to inspire everyone who wants to lose weight to join my Slimming World group.

You are not alone. Together we have got this 💪

Have you missed a week, a month, 6 months... 🤔

Are you someone who had one Syn too many and the guilt has eaten away at you for days, months, even years and you feel you just can't come back 😪

Are you someone that looks in the mirror 🪞 and says I really don't like how I look or feel...
why did I leave group and go on free fall over the last few months 😪 over the summer ☀️

If you are that someone who would love to come back but isn’t feeling brave enough to step through the door 🚪 of our group. Please know that it really would make our day to see you.

Be reassured that there is no judgement, shame or humiliation in our group. Just care, support and understanding. We learn together, laugh together, sometimes cry together and inspire and support each other. Together is how we make our success happen.

Member spotlight - Jo

Losing an incredible 5 stone since joining Slimming World join me in giving her the praise she deserves losing this in just 6 months.

Jo’s background, she had done slimming world before however I could see a change in mindset and determination when she joined my group.
At first she was hesistant if it slows down or she stops losing weight she would sabotage however with the support of coming to my friendly group each week and taking a seat 💺 we made her feel confident she could do this ❤️
Navigating through holidays 🛫and losing this weight since the start of the year is phenomenal.

She always inspires others, helped others in the community delivering leaflets spreading the word 🚶‍♀️ and getting her bodymagic in and her secret is to always drink plenty of water too 💦
