Thank you to who gave a fantastic Gilbert and Sullivan performance - of which the topic was wedding day - for the residents at Eastcote Park Retirement Village & Care Home this afternoon.
The residents had song sheets and were happy to sing along.
They all said how much they are looking forward to the next performance.

🌍 Culture Month Continues! 🇩🇰➡️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

We’re kicking off the week with a trip to beautiful Scotland! 🏰

Last week we explored Denmark, and now we’re heading north to discover all things Scottish. Crichton, one of our lovely residents from Edinburgh, shared wonderful memories of her homeland while we enjoyed a spot of whisky tasting, Scottish shortbread, and fudge. 🥃🍪

We tested our knowledge with a fun Scottish quiz and had plenty of laughs singing “Donald Where’s Your Trousers?” 🎶😂

What a brilliant start to the week — we can’t wait for more Scottish adventures ahead! 💙🌍

What a week we’ve had celebrating Denmark as part of our Culture Month! 🇩🇰
We kicked off with a fantastic week honouring our lovely resident Hanne and her Danish heritage. From LEGO building fun to a delicious 3-course Danish-themed lunch prepared by our talented chef Spencer, the week was filled with joy and discovery.

Residents enjoyed a storytelling session of The Ugly Duckling, tried their hand at making traditional Danish Christmas decorations with Hanne, explored beautiful artworks by Danish creators, and wrapped up the week with a cosy cinema matinee showing of A Beautiful Life, a touching Danish music and romance drama.
And of course, we can’t forget the mouthwatering homemade Danish treats from our amazing chef Beth – including Havregrynskugler, Hindbærsnitter, and other delicious pastries. 🇩🇰🍰

Next stop on our Culture Month journey: Scotland, celebrating another one of our residents, Crichton. We can’t wait to dive into Scottish culture next week 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

It was a roof raising afternoon at Eastcote Park Retirement Village & Care Home when Fran Dwane came to entertain our wonderful residents.
Fran mixed songs and humour in his performance, encouraging residents to sing, dance and even have a blast on their air guitars.
After the performance Fran took time talking with residents and relatives.
Thank you again for such a fun afternoon.

We were delighted to receive a kind letter from our local MP, Saqib Bhatti , thanking Eastcote Park for our fundraising efforts this year in support of Knowle Donkey Sanctuary . We are very proud of the amount we have raised and look forward to welcoming Saqib to our Christmas Quiz on Thursday, 11th December.

Another brilliant Quiz Night! 🐴🧠
A huge thank you to everyone who came out and supported us, together we raised funds for the Knowle Donkey Sanctuary and had plenty of laughs along the way!
Big congratulations to our winning team, none other than the incredible sanctuary volunteers! 🏆👏
Totally deserved!

We’re already gearing up for our Christmas Special, and trust us… it’s going to be a big one! 🎄✨

We have another 92nd birthday today.
Everyone at Eastcote Park Retirement Village & Care Home has been wishing the very lovely Sheila a very happy birthday, who spent the day with family and friends.
Beth, from the kitchen team has made yet another amazing cake, befitting to Sheila as she was a keen horse rider.

🇩🇰 Culture Month: Denmark! 🇩🇰

Our celebration of Culture Month continued with a taste of Denmark! Residents enjoyed a delicious three-course Danish-themed lunch, thoughtfully prepared by our award-winning chef Spencer.
The afternoon was filled with fun and connection as Hanne, one of our residents who is originally from Denmark, led us through trivia, a quiz, and armchair travel, sharing Danish words and insights along the way. Residents loved reminiscing about their own travels and cherished memories with loved ones.

To end the day on a sweet note, our other talented chef Beth treated everyone to a homemade Hindbærsnitter cake, a Danish classic!
A truly heartwarming day, full of flavour, stories, and smiles. 💙✨

🇩🇰 Residents enjoyed their weekly exercise session with Shack from Fitnniss - Wellbeing in Care today, but with a special twist! 🎶

To celebrate our Cultural Month, we swapped our usual tunes for some lively Danish folk music 🇩🇰 and treated everyone to a taste of Denmark with delicious homemade Brunsviger cake and a selection of Danish biscuits in different flavours. 🧁🍪

A fun and tasty way to stay active and explore new cultures together!
