The Eastcoteyoungandwise club this morning enjoyed plenty of activities out in the morning sunshine. From making bird feeders with apples, watering the potato plants to scattering wild flower seeds. The children had a great time interacting with the residents, who always enjoy watching the antics the children get up to. The watering of the plants certainly went down well. The session was finished with a snack and a story. See you next week!.

We were super proud to be a sponsor for an award at the Solihull Civic Awards last night.

To be in a room full of people and organisations that go above and beyond to help others was humbling……in a time full of bad news this was a slice of great news and reminded us that Humans really can be great!!

Building relationships within our community 🤝

I had the pleasure of meeting Sammy, Customer Relations Manager from Blythe Rose Care Home, today. It was great to connect with someone else in the field and exchange insights about our wonderful care homes.

Not everyone is your competition — sometimes it’s about supporting families in finding a safe, forever home for a loved one living with dementia, and being that light at the end of the tunnel when they need it most.

Blythe Rose Specialist Dementia Care and Eastcote Park offer different types of support. Blythe Rose specialises in complex dementia behaviours and nursing needs, while Eastcote Park supports residential dementia placements. Despite these differences, we all share the same goal: providing the very best care for our residents.❤️

This afternoon was full of colour, creativity, and wonderful memories 🌸

Our residents at Eastcote Park Retirement Village & Care Home enjoyed a lovely flower arranging session, carefully selecting and arranging beautiful blooms into their own unique displays.

To make the afternoon even more special, we sang songs with flowers in the title - Daisy Daisy was a favourite. How many songs can you name? 🎶

The session also sparked heartfelt conversations, with residents reminiscing about their own gardens.

A beautiful red sky sunrise greeted the start of the day, captured by our Head of Maintenance, Greg, as he arrived at work 🌅

Later, residents enjoyed a lovely sunny morning trip to the Knowle Donkey Sanctuary . We met the gentle donkeys, saw adorable lambs and friendly chickens, and enjoyed peaceful walks through the gardens surrounded by colourful tulips 🌷 and bright daffodils 🌼.

A perfect day filled with fresh air, nature and special moments together, reminding us how beautiful the world can be 💛
