🎄 We’re in full swing for our chance to win 1st place in the Macc Care Christmas Competition! 🎄
All 16 homes are taking part, and our residents have been busy spreading festive cheer throughout the week.

🍰 Best Cake Category:
Our wonderful residents have been hard at work creating their own tiers for each lodge in the home. This week, they’ve been carefully poking holes and pouring brandy over their cakes to give them that perfect festive flavour. The kitchen smells amazing!

🎨 Christmas Cards:
We’ve proudly completed 16 handmade Christmas cards, crafted with love by our residents. Today’s craft session was full of smiles as everyone made their own snowmen designs — each one unique and full of personality.

🎄 Best Tree:
Our tree is still in the making… stay tuned! We can’t wait to share it with you soon.

✨ The festive spirit is truly alive here, and our residents are having a wonderful time preparing for the competition! ✨

This heart-warming initiative supports people experiencing homelessness in our city by providing bags filled with essential items to help through the colder months – and we’d love your help! 🧣🧤

We welcome all staff, relatives, friends, and members of our local community to support us by donating vital essentials. You can drop items off here at Blythe Rose Specialist Dementia Care – just choose from the lists below! 💛

🧣 Winter Warmer Bag (£10–£25)

Our Customer Relations Manager Sammy has enjoyed another busy and rewarding week out in the community, continuing to build meaningful connections and raise awareness of the work we do.

✨️She visited Tesco, where she was delighted to receive a wonderful Christmas hamper kindly donated for our upcoming Christmas Fun Day. We’re incredibly grateful for their generosity and support.

✨️This week also included a visit to George Eliot Hospital, where she met with the Admiral Dementia Nurses on Arbury Ward to explore how we can continue working together to support individuals living with dementia.

✨️To round off the week, she hosted an information table at UHCW – University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire, helping to spread awareness of the specialist support and compassionate care we provide at Blythe Rose Specialist Dementia Care.

💜We are so thankful for the warm welcome we’ve received across our community and look forward to continuing these important partnerships. 💜

We got those hands and eyes working together with a lively little game — lots of laughs, big smiles, and a whole bundle of proud moments! 🤩👏

Keeping the brain stimulated is so important for people living with dementia — it helps support memory, boosts mood, encourages confidence, and keeps everyday skills active. Little activities like this make a big difference! 🧠✨

Today we had the pleasure of welcoming students from Alderbrook School, who joined us for a wonderful uplifting reading session with our residents. The children brought such energy, kindness, and enthusiasm, and it was truly heartwarming to see the generations connect through stories. Our residents loved listening, chatting, and sharing memories sparked by the books. These visits mean so much to everyone here, and we are incredibly grateful to the staff and students at Alderbrook School for taking the time to spend part of their day with us. We’re already looking forward to the next visit!

With Storm Claudia finally behind us, we took advantage of the calm and enjoyed a refreshing walk down the Nature Reserve with some of our residents. The crisp air and quiet paths made it a perfect morning stroll. 🌤️🌿
