There's a lot happening at Swallows!
Did you know we have been host to our NHS colleagues re-enablement team for over 5 years?
We have cared for hundreds of people on our Robin therapy unit in that time. Now the NHS team are relocating to their new ward at Solihull Hospital. We will be holding a farewell and thank you for the team at the end of the month.
Although we will miss them, this is an exciting opportunity for Swallows Meadow and our community. We are starting on a programme of refurbishment across the home and will have more permanent and respite rooms available. As one of only a few homes with veteran friendly award, we look forward to caring for your loved ones.
If you are looking for Nursing Care in an established environment with excellent reviews - now is a great time to enquire.
A big thank you to all of our staff who have juggled the intense workload of a rehabilitation unit and to our NHS colleagues who have worked so collaboratively with us.

We like to stay ahead of the game at Swallows Meadow as well as supporting local businesses.
Last week Neil from the Shepherd Group came to show us their latest range of air purifiers and humidifiers.

Neil is going to demonstrate how their air purifiers improve the quality of the air in the environment. That's a real help when there are loads of winter bugs going around.

This is the small size unit that fits discreetly on a dressing table, runs quietly while it removes odours and cleans the air, and it has a night mode that turns off the light.
We are also testing a larger unit that cleans, sanitises, removes odours and humidifies.
A nice piece of kit!
