UK Government Emergency Alert Test – Important Information

On Sunday, 7th September 2025 at 3:00 PM BST, the UK Government will test the Emergency Alert System.

📱 What will happen?
• A loud siren-like sound and vibration will play on mobile phones for around 10 seconds, even if your phone is on silent.

⚠️ Key Risks for Domestic Abuse Survivors:
• The alert could reveal hidden, or emergency phones kept for safety.
• It may increase risks of technology-facilitated abuse if abusers detect concealed devices.

• Extra training for our reception team, including customer service and conflict management
• Digital drop-ins to help you with the NHS App and online forms
• A refreshed website to make finding services simpler
• Careful planning for October’s all-day online access change
• We’ll keep you updated every quarter, starting this December.

We have been informed of a road closure on Winchcombe Road, Solihull - outside No. 65, Hob Meadow. This has been closed immediately until Friday 22 August at 4pm, while Severn Trent Water repair a leak as per communications from Solihull Council.

Please ensure that you allow additional travel time to get to any face to face appointments at Meadowside Family Health Centre during this period. 🚨🚨

New Service Launch – Livi Video Consultations

We’re pleased to announce that GPS Healthcare is now live with Livi, offering secure video consultations with GPs as an extension of our existing services.

When is Livi available?
This service is available only during our usual operating hours and is not a self-referral service.

How do I access a Livi appointment?
You will need to submit a Blinx request online or contact our reception to complete a Blinx request on your behalf. If appropriate, a member of our triage team will book you into a video consultation with a GP via the Livi platform.

What happens once I’m booked in?
You will receive an SMS with a link to download and access the Livi app. To attend your appointment, you’ll need to:
1. Click the link in the SMS
2. Download the Livi app
3. Register or log in
4. Confirm your appointment within the app

Confirmation timeframes:

• If your appointment is more than 90 minutes away, please confirm within 1 hour
• If your appointment is within 90 minutes, confirmation is required within 30 minutes

Please confirm your appointment in the app to avoid a cancellation.
This new service is part of our commitment to providing more flexible, accessible care while ensuring safe and effective clinical care.
