You’ll catch us in our Hotpod Home, located in the Solihull Arden Club, where we offer daily classes that are suitable for every body and every mind: ladies, gentleman, beginners, seasoned professionals, young and old! You need only bring water and a towel to enjoy the unique immersion that is a Hotpod Yoga class – an active and passive flow of postures in our other-worldly 20 person inflatable Pod – heated to 37 degrees to supercharge the yoga experience. Afterwards? Your mind will be a little calmer; your body a little looser, and yes – you’ll be a whole lot sweatier. Founder - Siobhan Sheehan

Siobhan, having always followed a lifestyle of sports and fitness eventually found her career path to follow this way also. She trained as a Personal trainer and Pilates instructor whilst juggling life with 4 young children. Having such a busy life she found yoga and hot yoga and was immediately hooked. The benefits for the mind and body far outweighed anything she had ever tried before and so began her journey to teach and bring yoga into the lives of others. The story so far:

Having a friend show her a little article in August 2013 which mentioned new portable hot yoga studios, Siobhan hopped on a train to London and experienced Hotpod Yoga for the first time. By December 2013 Hotpod Yoga South Birmingham & Solihull was ready to go and launched in January 2014 with a range of locations around the Solihull and South Birmingham area. With an amazing response throughout 2014, Siobhan then began looking for a single spot for her Pod. In September 2015, supported by her fantastic team, Siobhan a Hotpod home in Solihull – her warm and welcoming cabin within the grounds of Solihull Arden Sports Club. The journey continues…

Why yoga? It’s the perfect harmony to my intense gym sessions, nurturing my body and quieting my very busy mind. In the pod, it’s just me, myself and I, no distractions 😌.

Fav yoga pose - There’s so many! If I am to narrow it down half moon, humble warrior and pigeon.

Why yoga? There are just so many reasons why I love yoga but I just love how it’s your time and space on the mat to switch off and move the body whilst creating space for the head. I love how it brings everyone together and teaching classes which are accessible, flowy, energetic and uplifting is my favourite thing to do. I especially love teaching early morning classes in the pod to set people up for their day 🧘🏽‍♀️.

My favourite things- Aside from my own yoga practice, I enjoy weightlifting in the gym. I am obsessed with my fur babies Yogi, Clive and Dotty and love spending time with my partner Connor, family and friends and obviously keeping warm as I’m always cold 😂.

Fave place: The Maldives - I’m lucky that I have the opportunity to generally visit a couple of times a year for work and have spent extended amounts of time out there to the point that it feels a little like a second home!

Fave Food: Ramen

Why yoga? I originally came to yoga as a type of physical therapy. The movement, especially in the heat, helped me care for my body and balance the physical demands of performing but I quickly discovered that yoga offers so much more than just physical release, it became a mental reset, a space to reconnect and breathe. Now, I love sharing that space with others, helping people find a sense of peace and presence, even if just for an hour each week.

The same top tips apply as they would throughout the year. Keep yourself hydrated everyday with 2-3 litres of fluids and you should never feel thirsty even in classes 😎👍.
