Yesterday I had the honour of running
the for an incredible charity 🩵

Running has been a big part of my life this year, it’s easy to lose yourself after becoming a mum and taking up running has helped me find myself again - giving me head space, confidence and a reminder that I’m still here, growing alongside my children.

To Make⁣

1. Cook the Oats: In a medium saucepan, combine the oats, orange zest and milk. Bring to a simmer over medium heat and cook, stirring occasionally, for 5-7 minutes, or until the oats are soft and the porridge has thickened to desired consistency ⁣

2. Prepare the Pear: While the porridge is cooking, slice the pear into thin wedges or small cubes. Either, add pear, cinnamon and dash of water to a pan and warm through for a warm topping, or keep it fresh for a crisp contrast!⁣ If you’re feeling extra fancy, use a frying pan with some butter or coconut oil and add the sliced pears on a high heat to caramelise!

3. Add Protein: To the porridge, Stir in the Greek yogurt, chia seeds, and protein powder (if using). Continue cooking for 1 minute or so, until well mixed and heated through. I love vanilla which works beautifully! ⁣

4. Assemble the Bowl: Pour the cooked porridge into a bowl. Top with the sliced pear and drizzle with honey or maple syrup for added sweetness if. Sprinkle a little extra cinnamon on top for some extra flavour! ⁣

Guess I know what you’re thinking - obviously we chew our food - but I can’t tell you how often I see people wolfing food down, a couple of chews then it’s gone or even gulping drinks to help chew up the food and swallow. You shouldn’t need to be slugging drinks during your meals to help it breakdown - that’s the saliva & chewings # job! We should be chewing our food til it’s broken down as much as baby food! This will help your digestion more than you’ll believe! Improving all aspects of - reducing , & gas! CHEW AND CHEW SOME MORE✌🏼 & SEND to someone who needs a reminder to chew 🤪

💛 In times of , sadness, or confusion, it can be tempting to keep our bottled up. However, talking openly about what’s on our mind is one of the most powerful tools for maintaining and improving mental health.

💛 When life starts feeling overwhelming, constantly being connected can cause a digital overload can make things worse. Taking a step back with a can do wonders for your -health, helping you reset and regain control.

💛 When we are stressed, anxious or emotional we have a tendency to breathe quickly and with a shallow breath. Paying close attention to intentional breathing is a way to reset, calm the nervous system, and improve mental well-being.

It’s FRI-YAY and there is often a common theme for peoples diets to stray from their usual day-to-day meals to faster and more convenient options.

It’s totally normal for us to sometimes reach for these quick and convenient options, particularly if we are on the go or busy rushing about.

This could be a ready meal that takes minutes to cook, popping to your local maccys drive through or heading to pret whilst rushing for the train.

But have you ever considered the impact this has one your digestion? This aspect is often overlooked - tune back in tomorrow to learn the importance of the cephalic phase of !

High Protein Overnight Oats⁣

This recipe is not only packed with protein but also has a good balance of healthy fats, fibre, and carbohydrates to keep you full and energised right through til lunch! ⁣

1. Combine Ingredients - In a jar, bowl, pot, Tupperware! Add the oats, milk, Greek yogurt, protein powder, chia seeds, and vanilla extract. Stir well until everything is fully combined and cover. ⁣

2. Pop in the fridge - overnight or leave for a minimum of 4 hours⁣

3. Morning Prep - In the morning, give the oats a good stir. If the mixture is too thick, you can add a splash of milk to reach your desired consistency.⁣

4. Add Toppings - Top with berries, 1tbsp of nuts, seeds or 1 tsp of nutbutter or tahini (or anything you fancy) ⁣

5. Enjoy 🤌🏻⁣
