Let's go a little easier, tonight ? When I first fell into this natural skincare direction, I didn't know dimethicone from parabens, sulphates from carbomer. The properties of these additives have been discovered much later.
Truth be told, all I was interested then, and ultimately now, was how my skin FELT , and how it was being nurtured - NATURALLY. . No unneccessary, non healthy, dodgy additives/ ingredients. That's it .
And Abrahams Natural Dry Skin Solutions caters for people like me : men women, pre teens older, younger - with dry, skinwhich remains dry despite increased water uptake and positive dietary changes.

What's the...... fuss about dimethicone ?
Exactly what I was thinking after seeing more extensions of the '' free from'' malarkey companies put out there to apparently blind us with enough science to frighten us into buying their products.

The soft silky, smooth feel of many skincare products is created by this type of silicone. Abrahams Natural Dry Skin Solutions strongly feels that ingredients which naturally have a smoothing effect on skin, such as jojoba or moringa oils, provide the same effects with no associated ill effect. So no dimethicone here . thank you !

Do you find it a tad annoying when retailers and product producers assume you're in the know when claims are made to help you choose their brand ? Sulphate free,no trans fats, paraben free ?

For the record, I'm clear on sugar free, but was irritated when I didn't know what the above were, and why I should be avoiding them in my personal care products.

Abrahams Natural Dry Skin Solutions is synthetic EVERYTHING- free - with no chemicals used to preserve the products either, making the preservatives ending in paraben, such as metrhylparaben, propylparaben, and butylparaben,

They are cheap synthetic compounds used to prevent the growth of bacteria, usually necessary in skincare which has water as an ingredient.
unfortunately, they have been associated with tumours and found in breast tissues. They have also been found to have a negative effect on male fertility,

To be honest, I simply am not interested in a whole load of stuff whose additions have been made necessary by the additiion of water,
Oil and water DO NOT MIX - so it's time for the the re education of the British public with regard to skin care texture, methinks.

Dehydrated or Dry Skin ?
I thought I knew the difference, but wanted to make sure that I was getting my terms right. I have dry skin, or skin which doesn't make a lot of sebum, the oil our skin makes for lubricating and protecting itself.
When I lose water and don't replace it, my skin becomes dehydrated. Thus, dehydrated skin NEEDS water, whilst dry skin LACKS oil . There !

Abrahams Natural Dry Skin Solutions are intended for skins that make less of their own natural oils, which is why my first step is always to encourage the increase of water drunk in the long run.
The aloe vera gel in Abrahams' facial creams will go some way to addressing topical delivery of water to the face, though it should work alongside increased water intake. Think prunes and plums. Take water out of a plum, it not only BECOMES a prune, but REMAINS a prune, doesn't it ? A plum, on the other hand, full of water, plump and wrinkle free, can become one or the other. Your choice !

Who is Abrahams' Natural Skincare aimed at ? People like me ! people with dry skin. People whose skin FEELS tight after washing. Whose skin LOOKS flaky, ashy, uncomfortable after cleansing or washing.
I used to have to splurge on the moisturiser literally seconds after washing as a child and teenager - my face would feel painful otherwise. Since increasing my water intake from sips to glasses daily, the application window has lengthened to about a minute. Ages for me !
Abrahams Natural Dry Skin Solution is for young, mature, male, female inheritors of dry skin, who prefer not to use the regularly touted cocktail of synthetic ingredients currently available. Like me .

Who does Abrahams' cater for ? People like me ! People with skin that, after washing, feels taut, tight. Afterwards, there might be a grey tinge, or flakiness. It FEELS dry, it LOOKS dry, without the aid of emollients to make the skin feel/ look better.

SO... men women, young, old........people with dry skin like me , like YOU, will benefit from the Abrahams touch.....all naturally, without synthetics, of course !

You know, I read over some of my last posts and feel rather disappointed in myself. I feel disappointed because I'm throwing bits and pieces out there that can be found on many natural sites, and in for more detail. I'm not a skin expert, neither intend to be.
The lovely ladies below are there to remind me that I'm here to share why I make and use natural skin products, why I only cater for dry skin, and why I feel the need to get my product to an audience wider than friends and family.
,
1) These ladies remind me of my multi faceted self : self assured, confident and feisty.

2) I have dry skin, and feel qualified to deal with my own skin type.

3) I just got a double kick in the head today. It was from a child with Special Needs who I see daily. She didn't mean to hurt me, but, after other, equally serious incidents I have decided to make a living which is safe, useful, people want, and which I am doing anyway. Hope that makes sense , it does to me !

So from here on, I'm making it clear that Abrahams Natural Dry Sin Solutions is for male or female dry skin sufferers, who are fussy about what they put on their skin, care about recycling and and prefer their skincare ingredients to be plant based.

That's it ! More to follow about ingredients used, methods of production,and, perhaps a rough date for product launch to the public. Take care .

It cant be said often enough that we are what we eat, which means that I'm currently in a lot of trouble, I won't lie !
Yet truth is truth, and a reasonably nourishing diet feeds healthy skin, Healthy skin is in a better position of responding to the intentions of the skincare products we place on it. Good choices include oily fish, almonds, Brazil nuts,( good fats ), avocados, whole grains, nuts and seeds, with regular drinks of water throughout the day.

So please make the changes - the pictures will give you an idea . Over the course of about 6 weeks, some improvement should be noticed - but not so much if large amounts of sugar and processed foods come along for the ride ....... Cultural adaptions to be made as required, of course !

I'll stop being the annoying one, and share that the skin, is actually the largest organ OF the body, despite it not being IN the body. I was mildly surprised at this discovery. As I was to discover that everything placed on the skin is absorbed almost straightaway, entering the bloodstream,and consequently stored in fat cells, or lymph glands, for example.
Is this true ?
Apparently, up to 70% of whatever is placed on the skin is absorbed into the blood stream. Food that is eaten takes about 24 - 72 hours.So I've heard, but I'm not a scientist. Do you know what ? I can only state that I'm here for those who feel the same way I do about combatting dry skin without synthetic ingredients,and who share the growing sentiments of the current 'natural lifestyle' movement. That's it ! Any one can make claims, but I just want to engage with those who share my vision for skincare generally, and dry skin in particular.
