These are the habits I wish I had started much sooner in life.

šŸ’œ save this, your future self will thank you.

1) Mind over matter - mindset is key so learn how to control your mind before it controls you.

2)Always take your mental health seriously, not ā€œlaterā€

3)remember your needs matter too, never dismiss your own physical and mental needs to please others. The cost of this will be high later in life.

4) Maintain a strict morning routine, even 10–15 minutes

5)Learn about boundaries and actually keep them
if you want to say no, say no. Protect your energy and being.

6)Practise gratitude and WHATS BEEN GOOD every night before bed wrote down what’s been good actions, thoughts and interactions .

7)The mind and body are connected when in doubt move your body. Shake, walk around your home, dance. It will move incomplete emotions and energy through your body

8) Never be afraid to go it alone and do anything alone , get out your comfort zone.

9)Create your own independent financial security, so no matter what you have always got your own back.

10)Spend as much time outside, it will help ground you, increase your focus and move your body.

11) Learn about emotional regulation and build a toolkit for ā€˜daily maintenance’ so you can hold capacity for whatever life may bring.

12) Prioritise Deep rest not just a bath or tv time real deep reat where you are present and slow with yourself.

13) Heal old wounds instead of normalising them, otherwise they will show up in all your relationships

14) On the tough days Treat yourself with kindness and grace. Wind everything back, shut out the noise and take it real slow.

And remember life starts with self awareness šŸ’œ

It really hits you on a random day in December, how much your life has changed in a year.

People ask me quite often, what made you get into Hypnotherapy. I reply my healing journey did. I was in trauma therapy for over two years myself. Some weeks it was so so hard , I needed a space and resource that supported me emotionally and gave me the belief there were glimmers I needed to focus on. I really got stuck in the dark places sone weeks. I know now that’s what I need to do at the time, to process and sit with the hard stuff.

However listening to relaxing and positive language really helped my mind to slow down, relax and stop my mind from spiralling.

I’m grateful I decided to also pursue Solution Focused Hypnotherapy in addition to training to become a qualify Counsellor. I think it can act as such a valuable tool whilst in therapy or on its own as a tool.

Hi I’m Parv, the face behind Free Your Mind Hypnotherapy.

I am currently training to be a Solution Focused Hypnotherapist.
I am currently practising sessions with clients each week. However I will be offering half price sessions from Mid March to June next year!

Another KEY QUESTION that is used in SOLUTION FOCUSED HYPNOTHERAPY:

What has helped you get through this week? What small glimmers?

I’ve been very open about how my mobility has drastically declined. Due to various health conditions I have.

This video shows the sheer joy and gratitude I felt on top of a mountain!
I was so so grateful for the advanced train system in Switzerland. I’m still in the grieving /adapting stage with the the decline in my mobility I never thought I’d be back on a mountain summit anytime soon or later for that matter.

But here’s the thing, life isn’t always smooth sailing but trying to focus on WHATS HELPING YOU GET THROUGH is absolutely priceless for your brain chemistry.

While SOLUTION FOCUSED HYPNOTHERAPY focuses on positive mindset and behaviours it is also realistic. Recognising that life isn’t always going to be positive or easy. So even shifting focus on asking ā€˜what’s helping you get through or what small glimmers have you noticed can be a catalyst for change and improving your challenging and difficult situation.

This experience and visiting my dear friend aka big sis, really helped me navigate a difficult period of my own life. It helped me get through.

Are you surviving or thriving?

I had spent decades in survival mode, right up until 2 years ago to be exact.

My body crashed and my stress bucket exploded with no other place to go. It was a vicious circle day in day out.

My daily life ran on high levels of Anxiety, Hypervigilance and an Obsessive mind. Alongside untreated Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. I knew I was drowning with no real exit. I just kept on trying to fight the fight because that's all I knew since childhood.

But here's the thing, once I sought help and support I was able to turn my life around. I was able to recognise that I can still make a beautiful life for myself, after losing years to mental illness and trauma.

I also believe through personal experience that it takes a collective approach to manage anxiety and other mental health conditions.

This is why I am retraining to become a Adult Counsellor and Solution Focused Hypnotherapist. I also value the importance of working with the Body as a whole, and have a very keen interest in Restorative Yoga.

If you haven't tried hypnotherapy I would highly recommend it it for anxiety, stress and depression. I would also strongly recommend it if you were receiving trauma therapy to help manage your emotions and processing.
