HOW TO MEET YOUR PROTEIN GOALS:

Protein power after WLS! 💪

Did you know that aiming for 20-30g of protein per meal can support your weight loss journey and overall health? 💭💭

Here are some high-protein food options that hit the 7g mark use the protein portion to make up your protein goal :

🥚 1 large egg

🥛 1/3 pint of milk

🍖 1 oz (28g) of meat (about the size of a matchbox)

🧀 1 oz of cheese (about the size of a small cube)

🍿 70g of Greek yogurt (a small container)

Incorporate these into your meals to boost your protein intake and support your WLS journey! 💡

IS SOMEONE GONNA GUESS YOU’VE HAD WLS?

What to do if you feel embarrassed eating off a side plate after WLS? 🤔

After WLS there are many changes with your diet, portions and eating habits. Sometimes eating off a small plate can make you feel;

👎🏽Different, like you don't fit in

👎🏽 Like you're not "normal" anymore & everyone is staring at you

👎🏽 Excluded from everyone eating off a larger plate

👎🏽 Judged by those who don't understand

👎🏽You may also think people will guess that you’ve had WLS when you’re trying to keep it a secret!

But here's the thing: You need to find your NEW NORMAL and feel PROUD of it! If you’re not ready to share , here are a few “stories” you can tell your friends;

I’m working with a dietitian and she recommended I eat off a smaller plate

I’ve heard by eating off a smaller plate it helps with portion control and thats why I’m losing weight

I’m finding it difficult to stomach food lately, a smaller plate helps

Your journey is unique, and so are your needs. Embrace them!

🤗 Eating off a side plate is a sign of self-care and commitment to your health. Don't let societal expectations dictate your meals and portions. You do you! 🍴👌

Do you want results like Kerri? 😁😁.
Find out how she got these amazing results, she’s 3kg away from her target weight after WLS.

Kerri stayed consistent with her food, hydration, habits and lifestyle. She’s found a love for exercise where she incorporated weights and less cardio. we tweaked the reime many times and now it’s all paying off.

Although results don’t always show up on the scales, Kerri felt better in her mood and energy levels due to the exercise, so she pushed through all the negative thoughts and carried on…
She continued to take measurements and as they kept going down she felt motivated to continue with her habits.
Something Kerri enjoys as we worked together is that she no longer counts calories or weighs her food. She’s found food FREEDOM!

HOW TO CONTROL CRAVINGS
Success story alert! 🚨

Let’s chat about Sarah! She tackled her sugar cravings after WLS with determination and a
plan that we created on a BBM coaching call!

Here are some of the tips I shared with her that helped:

🍴🍴Regulate meals and snacks
🍗🍳Prioritise Protein
⏰🕕Don’t skip meals

🔍 Identify your triggers: Pay attention to when and why you crave sugary treats. Is it when you're stressed? Bored? Around certain ....people?

🍎 Find healthy alternatives or distractions : Reach for fruit, nuts, or protein-rich snacks instead of sugary treats or try going for a walk, read a book, cross words or house work to keep yourself busy!

📝 Keep a food diary: Tracking your cravings and progress can help you stay accountable and identify patterns.

🤝 Get help as managing cravings and your weight loss can feel overwhelming when you don’t know how.

With these strategies and a bit of time, Sarah reduced her sugar cravings and developed a healthier relationship with food! 🥗
