After an ear microsuction procedure, you may experience a few different sensations in your ears:

1. Immediate relief: If you had a significant buildup of earwax, you might feel a sense of clarity or openness in your ears, as sounds become clearer and the feeling of fullness or blockage is gone.
2. Sensitivity to sound: Since the ear canal is cleared, your ears may be more sensitive to sound for a short period, making noises seem louder than usual.
3. Mild discomfort: Some people may experience slight discomfort or a tickling sensation during and after the procedure, especially if the ear canal was sensitive or inflamed.
4. Temporary lightheadedness: Occasionally, the procedure may cause a brief sensation of dizziness or imbalance, particularly if the eardrum was involved.
5. No pain or minimal discomfort: Microsuction is generally painless, but a small minority of people may feel mild irritation afterward if their ear canal was already sensitive.

These effects typically subside quickly, and any discomfort is usually minimal and temporary.

What is ear microsuctioning and what are the benefits and cost?

Ear microsuctioning is for people who suffer with a build up of ear wax in either one or both ears. Sometimes the wax build up causes loss of hearing so having the wax removed improves the persons quality of life.

The process involves suctioning the wax out in a gentle effective procedure. Sometimes the ear wax can be very hard, therefore ear drops are recommended twice daily for one week, in order to soften the wax prior to treatment.
