Life will not always be comfortable.
There will be rain — problems, criticism, loss, and unexpected difficulties. This is simply the nature of life. In Buddhism, this truth is called Dukkha — the reality that life contains challenges and discomfort.
But wisdom lies in how we respond.
There are two ways to find happiness:
1️⃣ Change the situation.
If something can be improved, take wise action. Solve the problem. Step away from what harms you. The Buddha encouraged effort, right action, and mindful decisions to reduce suffering.
2️⃣ Change your mind toward it.
Some things cannot be changed — the past, other people’s behavior, aging, illness, or loss. When this happens, peace comes from changing the mind, not the world. Through mindfulness, acceptance, and understanding impermanence, the rain no longer disturbs the heart.
One person carries an umbrella.
Another learns to be at peace in the rain.
🌿 The world may not always change for you, but your mind can.
And sometimes, that is where true freedom begins.
