Happy Sunday ā€¦šŸ˜Š

ā€œThe people responsible for your happiness:
You. Yourself. You again. Nobody else. The person in the mirror.ā€

It looks simple… almost obvious.
But most people spend their entire lives misunderstanding this.

We wait for others to make us feel valued.
We expect situations to align perfectly before we allow ourselves to feel at peace.
We blame people, timing, luck… anything but ourselves.

But here’s the truth most don’t want to accept:

No one is coming to fix your inner world.

People can add to your happiness—
but they should never be the source of it.

Because the moment you make someone else responsible for how you feel,
you give away your power without even realizing it.

Your peace… your joy… your stability—
they all begin with you.

Not when life becomes perfect.
Not when people behave the way you expect.

But when you decide:

ā€œI am responsible for how I feel, how I react, and how I live.ā€

And that shift changes everything.

Because the person in the mirror…
has always had the power all along.

Life will not always be comfortable.
There will be rain — problems, criticism, loss, and unexpected difficulties. This is simply the nature of life. In Buddhism, this truth is called Dukkha — the reality that life contains challenges and discomfort.

But wisdom lies in how we respond.

There are two ways to find happiness:

1ļøāƒ£ Change the situation.
If something can be improved, take wise action. Solve the problem. Step away from what harms you. The Buddha encouraged effort, right action, and mindful decisions to reduce suffering.

2ļøāƒ£ Change your mind toward it.
Some things cannot be changed — the past, other people’s behavior, aging, illness, or loss. When this happens, peace comes from changing the mind, not the world. Through mindfulness, acceptance, and understanding impermanence, the rain no longer disturbs the heart.

One person carries an umbrella.
Another learns to be at peace in the rain.

🌿 The world may not always change for you, but your mind can.
And sometimes, that is where true freedom begins.

Listen to the ceaseless hum of being. You can't help but hear it, for it is the sound of everything.

Emotions are powerful.
They rise like waves — sometimes calm, sometimes crashing, sometimes completely overwhelming.
But here’s the truth:
Emotions are temporary. Decisions often are not.

In moments of anger, we say things we don’t mean.
In moments of heartbreak, we give up on things that still had life left in them.
In moments of fear, we shrink from opportunities that could’ve changed everything.

And sadly, many of us make permanent choices in those fleeting moments —
Quitting a job.
Ending a relationship.
Burning bridges.
Hurting people.
Hurting ourselves.

šŸ›‘ Don’t let a passing emotion shape the rest of your life.

šŸ’” When emotions are high, logic is low.
And what feels unbearable today may feel manageable tomorrow — with time, space, and perspective.

So when you’re overwhelmed:

Pause.

Breathe.

Wait.

Don’t press send.
Don’t slam the door.
Don’t tattoo your pain onto your life story.

šŸ“Œ Sleep on it.
Talk it out.
Journal. Meditate. Walk.
Give your heart the space to calm — and your mind the room to think.

You owe it to your future self not to burn down your life in a moment of emotional fire.

Make choices from clarity — not chaos.
From wisdom — not wounds.

Because your feelings are valid, yes…
But they are not always the truth.
And they are definitely not permanent.

ā€œOur habitual assumptions—all our ideas about how things are—keep us from seeing anything in a fresh, open way. We say, ā€œOh yes, I know.ā€ But we don’t know. We don’t ultimately know anything.ā€
