So many business owners are chasing the dream…
fancy cars, a huge house, 10 holidays a year.

But at what cost?

Success gets measured in numbers, not moments.
Constantly pushing, constantly performing…
feeling like if you slow down, you’ll be replaced by the next person grinding harder.

And then I stopped and asked myself…
why did I even start this?

Why did I leave the NHS and build my own business?

It wasn’t for the hustle.
It was for my children.

So I could work around them…
not have them fit around my schedule.

I want to be there for assemblies,
for school trips,
for pick-ups—without stress, without asking permission.

Because I remember what it felt like…
rushing, overwhelmed, always in fight-or-flight mode.

That’s not success to me.

I might not have a massive following…
but I have loyal, incredible clients who trust me and recommend me.

And that gives me something far more valuable—
freedom.

The freedom to choose my hours,
to slow down,
and to always put my family first… no question.

Maybe one day I’ll want the big clinic.
But right now?

I’m already successful.

Because I get to be present,
to give my children my time,
and still earn enough to treat them and build a life full of love.

And to me… that’s everything 🤍

Preventative care doesn’t mean starting injectable treatments earlier than necessary. Instead, it involves supporting your skin’s natural structure, preserving collagen, and consistently using SPF to help slow the ageing process.

From a purely commercial perspective, beginning treatments earlier could increase revenue. However, as a medical professional, my priority is to approach your care holistically and ethically—recommending only what I genuinely believe will benefit you. In some cases, that may mean advising against injectables altogether.

I always encourage you to feel confident in your decisions: ask questions if you’re unsure, and ensure you fully understand both the risks and benefits of any treatment.

She wanted to improve symmetry but also had hydration and I think we nailed it!

This lovely lady was so nervous about having her lips enhanced, but she was feeling very unhappy about how her lips had aged and lost so much volume recently.

Fast forward 1 hour later and she is delighted! She’s left looking much more refreshed, rejuvenated and loving her new lips!

No fake looking silly lips here. I always listen to what you want and treat accordingly!

Nouvo Clinic is owned and run by Sarah Sheppard, a registered nurse with 12 years experience as a theatre practitioner. During her career, Sarah has worked alongside world-renowned plastic and maxillofacial consultant surgeons, both in the UK and Australia. Sarah also led a theatre team whilst working with Cardiac surgeons, carrying out life saving procedures.

More recently, her career focus has been the training and education of doctors and nurses, teaching skills in trauma care, patient safety, and best perioperative practice.
