🎁 The Magic of Christmas – Thank You for Supporting Local Families 🎁

This year, instead of running our usual Christmas Gift Campaign, we’ve been incredibly fortunate to receive generous donations, discounts, and support from a range of organisations and businesses — helping us bring some festive magic to the children and families we work with.

Thanks to their kindness, families have been able to enjoy experiences such as:
✨ Winter Funland
✨ The Polar Express
✨ Discounts and donations from local businesses

These contributions make a real difference, especially during a time of year that can be difficult for many. We’re so grateful for the community support that allows us to create positive memories and opportunities for children across Solihull.

If you or your organisation would like to get involved or support our work in the future, we’d love to hear from you.

Ordinary Magic | End of 16 Days of Activism

As we close the 16 Days of Activism, we’re honouring the voices of the survivors whose courage inspires our work every day.

With permission, we’re sharing one powerful reflection from the last 16 days:
“Sarah’s support has been invaluable to me and my children. Her knowledge, kindness, and willingness to challenge on my behalf made an overwhelming situation manageable. Without her, I wouldn’t have had a voice.”

These words remind us why compassionate, trauma-informed advocacy matters — and why we will continue to stand beside every survivor we support.

Day 11 | #16 Days of Activism

This week, our focus has been on community support, providing advocacy and emotional assistance to help rebuild and empower survivors.

We’ve also been sharing our online Padlet, a practical tool offering clickable links to organisations, helplines, and projects dedicated to supporting children, young people, and adults experiencing domestic abuse or harmful relationships.

Strengthening pathways to safety and support is essential. Through coordinated support across services, we can create a strong network of support so victims and survivors never have to navigate their journey alone.

🧡 Day Eight – 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence

We’re proud to be taking part in the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, and today we’re focusing on the vital role of Youth Activism in preventing violence and promoting equality.

Young people are often the strongest voices for change, and this week we’ve been supporting them through 1–1 sessions in schools. These sessions help young people:
✨ Identify and promote healthy relationships
✨ Build confidence and self-awareness
✨ Recognise the signs of harmful or unsafe behaviours

By empowering young people with knowledge and support today, we help create safer communities tomorrow. Their voices, insights, and actions are essential in driving meaningful and long-lasting change.

We’re committed to continuing this work throughout the 16 Days and beyond.

Ordinary Magic Supports White Ribbon Day 🎗️

Today marks White Ribbon Day, the beginning of the 16 Days of Activism campaign, dedicated to raising awareness about violence against women and girls. Every child deserves to grow up in a safe environment, and every family deserves the support they need to thrive.

By challenging violence and supporting those affected, we help create safer, kinder spaces for everyone. Let’s raise our voices and take action to protect children, empower families, and strengthen our communities.

Together, we can make a difference. 🗣️💙
