🥧🍰🍪🍓 Cookery Club Fun 🍓🍪🍰🥧

Our residents had a wonderful time at our Cookery Club this week, baking delicious fruit scones together! There was plenty of laughter, singing along to favourite songs, and sharing of happy memories — and of course, the best part… enjoying the freshly baked scones with butter and jam! 😋💛

Last Sunday, residents and team members from Knowle Gate Care Home attended the Harvest Festival service at Knowle Church. We were delighted to take along all the generous donations we’ve received over the past month.

Staff and residents had a wonderful time this week at the Balsall Common Memories Cafe❤️
We planted some bulbs to bring home to flourish, took part in a game of bingo and enjoyed some jigsaw puzzles🥰

We would like to share our thanks to the wonderful team that run the Memories Cafe, their hard work doesn’t go unnoticed by the community and we hope to see you again in the upcoming months❤️

What an amazing and busy session we had on Thursday. Our residents put so much creativity and care into making beautiful arts and crafts to display at our upcoming Macmillan Coffee Morning. 💚☕🍰

🌸🌿 A Lovely Outing to Notcutts Garden Centre! 🌿🌸

Our residents had a wonderful time on their recent trip to Notcutts Garden Centre. 💐 From exploring the beautiful displays to enjoying a relaxing cup of tea and scones together, it was the perfect chance to soak up some fresh air and spend time surrounded by nature.

Smiles, laughter, and plenty of chatter filled the day — and of course, a few plants came home too! 🪴✨

We had a wonderful morning yesterday here at Knowle Gate Care Home bringing together our residents, families, nurses, and Marie Curie friends to support such an important cause. 💚

Everyone enjoyed delicious homemade cakes, savoury pastries, and plenty of hot drinks, while sharing laughter and conversation.

Thanks to the kindness and generosity of everyone who joined us, we’re thrilled to share that we raised over £200 for Macmillan Cancer Support! 👏💚

💙Alice Court Take Fundraising to New Heights for International Animal Rescue 💙

In celebration of World Animal Day, General Manager, Michelle Love-Patel, from Alice Court Care Home - Avery Collection, is preparing for the ultimate challenge - abseiling off the stunning Peacehaven Cliffs.

Michelle is taking on this daring feat to raise money and awareness for International Animal Rescue, a charity dedicated to protecting animals in need across the globe. 🐒

“This is such an important cause,” said Michelle. “I’m thrilled to be able to take part in something that not only pushes me out of my comfort zone but also supports vulnerable animals who desperately need our help.”

🎉 Grand Opening at Springwood Corner Care Home! 🎉

Springwood Corner Care Home - Avery Collection, a brand-new 62-bed care home in Gravesend, celebrated its grand opening on Thursday 11th September 2025 with a fun 1940s-themed event 🕺💃.

Over 200 guests, including Avery Healthcare executives, local residents, and community leaders, joined the celebration, featuring a plaque unveiling by Mayor Jenny Wallis, a red-carpet welcome, canapés, prosecco, live entertainment, and even a stilt walker! ✨
