We had a great time celebrating National Blueberry Pancake Day! Our residents enjoyed getting involved by completing a crossword, reading the information sheet, and of course… enjoying some delicious blueberry pancakes 😋

Our residents had a great time celebrating National Popcorn Day! Everyone enjoyed sampling a variety of tasty popcorn flavours, learning a little more about the national day, and having fun with a popcorn-themed word search 🧩

It was a popping good day filled with flavour, fun, and plenty of smiles 😄

Our residents had an absolute blast celebrating National Hat Day by trying on a wonderful selection of hats 👒

The clear favourite? A beautiful red wedding hat that made everyone feel extra fancy and glamorous! 😍

Flashback Thursday to our wonderful Christmastime at Wessex House! 🎄✨

Our residents had a blast singing carols and playing games with children from the Somerton Beavers and Squirrels clubs 🐿️🎵

They also enjoyed shaking their festive pom poms and throwing some enthusiastic seated dance moves with our visiting Pom Pom Queen, Tina 🥳❤️

✨ On the 12th evening of Christmas, we’re reflecting on another lovely festive moment shared together ✨

We had a wonderful time watching Take Note perform beautiful Christmas songs for our residents. The room was filled with festive cheer as everyone joined in, singing along and enjoying the music together. It was a simple yet joyful celebration that truly captured the spirit of the season 🎶🎄

We had the lovely donkeys come to visit us, and everyone enjoyed some sweet, cuddly moments! Their gentle nature and friendly faces brought smiles and laughter all around, a truly delightful day for residents and staff alike. ❤️✨

We had a truly wonderful Christmas Day! Santa made a special visit, giving every resident their presents and spreading festive cheer 🎅✨

Followed by a delicious Christmas lunch enjoyed by all. 😋

In the afternoon, those who wished to joined together to watch the King’s Speech, making for a cozy and memorable end to a joyful day. ❤️

The day the care team saved Christmas! 🎄✨

With their usual hairdresser unavailable, residents at Wessex House were worried about not having fresh hairstyles for Santa! But fear not – the Wessex House care team jumped into action to save the day!

They opened the doors to the home's salon and got to work, washing, cutting, and styling hair to ensure our residents looked their festive best.

We’ll have to check back later to see what Santa thought, but we’re pretty sure the visiting Christmas donkeys were impressed! 🐴💖

Our Christmas party was a wonderful celebration filled with music, delicious food and lots of laughter 🎶🍽️😄

It was lovely to see residents enjoying the festive atmosphere, sharing smiles and making special memories together. 🎅🎄
