Many people in midlife find themselves quietly wondering the same thing:

"Is my Mum or Dad getting enough stimulation, conversation, and enjoyment in their week?"

You want them to have meaningful moments, creativity, fresh air, and connection - not just time passing.

I offer a range of creative and nature-based sessions designed especially for older adults, which bring gentle activity, companionship, and opportunities for expression.

Each session is calm, supportive, and tailored to the individual.
Here are some of the ways your parent or loved one could spend time:

Introducing 'Cloud & Conversation'

For many people living at home, especially those with limited mobility or confidence, stepping outside can feel overwhelming - and sometimes it simply doesn’t happen at all.

I’m offering gentle, one-to-one nature outings for those who may otherwise struggle to get outdoors. Whether it’s sitting in a quiet park, watching the clouds drift by, breathing in fresh air, or enjoying an unhurried chat, these visits are calm, supportive and tailored to the individual.

For some, this may be their only time out of the house that week - and that time matters.

These sessions can also provide carers and family members with peace of mind, knowing their loved one is safely accompanied, engaged, and enjoying the simple but powerful benefits of nature.

🌱 £30 per hour
🌱 Additional time available
🌱 Small fuel contribution may apply depending on distance travelled.

If you’d like to learn more or discuss whether this would suit your loved one, please feel free to message me for a friendly chat.
Because everyone deserves a little fresh air and connection.

Today’s medium of choice is oil pastels! I’m off to deliver some creative facilitation and what a day for it! Bringing this joy from the outside in. Today we’ll be talking about the changing of the season. Poetry tailor made to provoke springtime memories and free flowing colour to complement those memories. I had some beautiful tulips from a friend and they have made my day. 🌷

I’ve just come back from a gentle walk with my dog 🐾🍃 and it reminded me how powerful a little fresh air and open sky can be.

Not everyone is able to step outside so easily - especially older loved ones who may need a little extra support, transport, or care to get out and about. And yet, the simple joy of watching the clouds drift by, feeling the breeze, and sharing a conversation can make such a difference to wellbeing.

That’s why I’m offering “Cloud & Conversation” ☁️✨ - a calm, supported hour in nature for those who might not otherwise be able to access it alone. I can provide gentle assistance, transport if needed, and a reassuring presence, so your loved one can safely enjoy time outdoors again.

It’s about dignity, connection, fresh air, and meaningful conversation - at a pace that feels comfortable and kind.

I’ll be sharing more details very soon, so if you’re supporting an older family member who would benefit from this, keep an eye out

🧵 Introducing ‘Thread & Time’ 🧵

A 6-Week One-to-One Embroidery Course at home.

I’m now offering gentle, structured embroidery sessions for individuals who would benefit from calm, creative engagement in their own home.

Over six weeks, we move slowly and supportively through simple stitches, building confidence and creating a personal embroidered piece to keep. No experience is needed — just willingness to try.

These sessions are particularly supportive for those who:

• Spend much of their time at home
• May feel isolated
• Benefit from routine and purposeful activity
• Enjoy working with their hands
• Need gentle cognitive and fine motor stimulation

Each visit follows a calm rhythm - settling in, stitching together, and reflecting at the end. Conversation flows naturally while hands are busy, and there is no pressure to be “good” at it.
At the end of the course, your loved one won’t just have a finished piece - they’ll have learned a skill they can return to independently.

All materials are provided in a personal kit they keep.

If you’d like to discuss whether this would suit someone you care for, please feel free to message me for more information.

Because meaningful time matters.

Course is priced at £250 which includes all materials & travelling cost.

Using watercolour alongside a winter-themed poem can gently open the door to memory, emotion, and reflection.

The soft flow of colour mirrors the way thoughts and feelings surface, helping my client reconnect with meaningful moments in a safe, creative space.

Through art and poetry, creative therapy becomes a warm place to reminisce, express, and heal….even in the quiet stillness of winter. ❄️🎨

Spread the word of the Filo project. I host from my own home each week and we are looking for more clients for my group. Please like and share and get in touch with them should you know someone who could benefit from this service.

Wondering what a typical Filo Day looks like?

Filo days follow a gentle rhythm, with pick-up and drop-off times helping to structure the day. But, every day is unique, shaped by the people in the group - there’s no set agenda.

Our Hosts take the time to really get to know each person, helping everyone feel included, supported, and able to get the most from their day.

If you’d like to explore whether your family member might enjoy a Filo day, there’s more information on our website, or you’re welcome to get in touch for a chat.

Do you know the early signs of dementia?

In the beginning, dementia symptoms can be subtle, easy to miss, and sometimes hard to distinguish from normal age-related changes or other conditions. Because of this, many people don’t feel concerned enough to see their GP.

But if you notice any changes, it’s important to pay attention.

It might not be dementia - but if it is, catching it early can make a real difference. Early diagnosis opens the door to the right care, treatment, and support.

If you recognise any of these common dementia symptoms in yourself or someone you care about, download our symptoms checklist and make an appointment with your GP.

I’m based in Somerton and currently offering sessions within 5 miles.

All materials are provided.

If you’d like to know more, please feel free to message me or get in touch via the details on the flyer 💛

With the new year will come new beginnings — including offering Creative Arts facilitation in care homes, something I’m truly passionate about bringing to life in 2026!

Treated myself to a new Apron!

In the midst of all the planning, I’ve been taking some much-needed creative time for myself too by making my festive wreath for my front door! This time of year can be hectic or emotional for a lot of people but it feels wonderful to slow down, create, and embrace a little seasonal magic. 🎄💫

Here’s to creativity, connection, and all the lovely things still to come. 💛
