A fantastic celebration at Abbeycrest Nursing Home! 🎉
We came together to honour our amazing colleagues — from applauding the 5 team members who completed the Dementia Ambassador Workshop, to recognising our kitchen team for retaining their 5-star food hygiene rating 👏.

We also shared a special moment with Manisha as she celebrated her first baby with a lovely baby shower 💐👶.

Huge thanks to the kitchen/ hospitality team and Rubin, for treating us to delicious food and mouth-watering desserts! 🍰🍛 A shout out goes the the Wellbeing team for setting up the room.

These bi-monthly engagement events are all about celebrating achievements, building team spirit, and appreciating the wonderful work we do together. 💙

Successful launch of eMAR in our homes!

We are delighted to share that our transition to Electronic Medication Administration Records (eMAR) is well underway. We first went live in Scoonie House, and following this success, we have now also gone live in Strathview and Oak Manor.

Throughout this process, each home has been supported by our Quality Team, ensuring colleagues felt confident and prepared to make the change. While there was some initial nervousness, the feedback from teams has been extremely positive, with colleagues quickly getting to grips with the new system and recognising the benefits it brings.

The eMAR system (Camascope) replaces paper-based records with a safe, digital platform. It provides clear, real time information on every resident’s medication, prompts timely administration, and reduces the risk of errors such as missed or duplicate doses. It also creates a full, easily auditable history of medication management, which supports improved compliance and oversight. Most importantly, it gives colleagues more time to focus on delivering high quality care rather than paperwork.

We have also found the online support from Boots to be extremely helpful during this transition, providing additional reassurance and guidance when needed.

We are incredibly proud of the teams at Scoonie House, Strathview, and Oak Manor for embracing this change so positively. Their commitment sets the tone for the rest of our homes, and we are excited for all homes to go live in the coming months.

We’re pleased to let you know that power has now been fully restored at Abbeycrest Nursing Home and the surrounding areas.

Thank you for your patience and understanding while Southern Electric worked to resolve the issue. Our residents remained safe and comfortable throughout, and everything is now back to normal.

Her commitment to creating a supportive and connected team culture is truly inspiring.

From daily garden walks and resident check-ins to celebrating passions (like helping a resident publish her first book of paintings!), Sue brings heart and purpose to every moment. ✨

Joy Across Generations at Denham Manor!

Our home was buzzing with laughter and love as we welcomed Year 3 and 4 pupils from Denham E-Act Academy for a truly heartwarming day of intergenerational fun.

As part of the Happiness Programme by Social-Ability, residents and students enjoyed sensory-based games like balloon popping, fishing, and even a few rounds of air hockey (a resident favourite!).

The day was filled with smiles, shared stories, and meaningful connection - proving that joy knows no age. Music rounded off the celebrations with a singalong of timeless classics, sparking cherished memories for many. 🎶

A huge thank you to the brilliant team at Social-Ability for bringing this wonderful experience to life and supporting the wellbeing of our residents through innovative, inclusive technology.

Last Sunday's Classic Car Show was a roaring success, with a stunning display of vintage cars and bikes that took us all on a nostalgic ride through the good old days.
