"Nature has many ways of refilling us. When we play like children in the waterfall she fills us with joy. When we answer her thunder with our own she fills us with power. When we kneel by the river and surrender an image of our lost one to its currents, she fills us with grief. When we sit with the wisdom that comes from seeing and understanding our journey, watching swans gliding in silence on the dark lake, she fills us with reverence. And when the work is done and we stand alone on the hillside beneath the stars she fills us with grace." Ian Siddons Heginworth

Body Listening….Sept 2025

Listen to your innate, ancient

ever present wisdom.

Listen with your breath, with your g-knowing,

with your deep understanding of all things

past and present. As if conversing

with weathered rock,

with ancient trees or rich loam soil.

Listen to the epic tales in wind and water flow,

Listen to the moving plates of inner earth

where the quiet hidden and roaring obvious

can all be heard….listen long….

knowing that the heart knows all things

knowing that you know.

The Big Belly Oak is a sessile oak tree (Quercus petraea). It is enormously fat, with a girth of over 11 meters. The Big Belly Oak is the oldest oak in the Savernake Forest; Wiltshire, England, estimated around 1,000 years old. It would have been a young tree at around the time that William the Conqueror defeated King Harold in 1066. As part of Queen Elizabeth II’s Golden Jubilee celebrations in 2002, the Big Belly Oak was named as one of 50 Great British Trees, a collection of significant trees in the United Kingdom.
