In Loving Memory of Elizabeth Johnson

Elizabeth, better known as ‘Betty’, ‘Mrs J’ or the ‘Poppy Lady’, who passed away after a short illness at Pinderfields hospital on 10th March aged 96.

A greatly loved wife of the late Peter Johnson, Mum to Allan (deceased), Brian and Carole, Mother-in-law, Grandma and Great-Grandma. She will be dearly missed by all members of her family and all who knew her.

Family would like to request that a poppy or a red item be worn in honour of Betty by attendees of the funeral service which will take place at Pontefract Crematorium on Monday 30th March at 11.40am.

Family flowers only please. Donations to the Royal British Legion are respectfully requested in lieu of flowers. A collection box will be available at the crematorium after the service.

Following the service, family warmly invite all who knew Betty to join them at the Boot & Shoe, Ackworth, to celebrate her long and active life, where refreshments will be served.

Steve, of Seals Drive in Ackworth, passed away peacefully at the Prince of Wales Hospice on Tuesday 3rd March, aged 53.

A cherished son of Maureen and late Ian. Devoted husband of Donna. Beloved dad of Harry, Reece and Hannah. Much loved brother of Stewart. Also a dear brother-in-law, uncle and great uncle who will be missed by all who knew him.

Steve's funeral service will take place at Pontefract Crematorium on Thursday 26th March at 1pm.

A much loved dad of Charlie, Jack and Sam. Loving husband of Filea. Dear son of Frank. Grandad of Elizabeth, Esmai, Logan and Jayden. And, brother off Lee, John and Dale. Reunited with his mum; Gillian, his sister; Debbie and his brother; Bob. He will be missed by all who knew him.

A beloved wife of the late Donald Shaw, and much loved mum to Debbie and Paul, Mark and Wenche. Devoted grandma to Robert, Katie, Lauren, John, Jordon and Millie, Hana and Katie. Great grandma to Amelia and Isabelle. Much loved sister of Pamela and much loved auntie of Gavin and Rachel. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Mavis' funeral service will take place at All Saints Church in South Kirkby on Wednesday 18th March at 12.30pm. Followed by the committal at Pontefract Crematorium.
